There was a time when I didn't have a house or insane bills, so Christmas was often a time when friends and I would often consider glasses as a viable gift option. I think the first Christmas after getting into the hobby was one of the better, both on the giving and receiving end.

Back when half.com sold more than just books and media, you'd often find Oakley glasses there, and since they were fixed price and you paid half.com, not the seller, it was perfect since I hadn't quite felt comfortable with ebay since years prior when I would mail personal checks for every purchase. X-Metals had always been out of reach, but I decided to take the jump and get a pair of Juliets for my brother in X-Metal/Emerald. Looking at the serial, it was apparent later that they were harvested for the Ruby Lenses. In return, he ordered the Ruby OTT, which was readily available on the website.

A following Christmas I believe I got him the Session 1242 DVD, so the music tracks from that correlate to that year when I think back.

Couple years ago I was away with the wife prior to Christmas and we stopped by a mall. There was a SGH there and on clearance was a Jury and Kings Camo SJ II. I think I got both for about $150 since they were running a Polarized sale on top of it.

What were some of your Christmas memories?

I don't have many X-mas stories, since relatively little Oakley action happens for me during the holiday season, but my wife (GF status back then) did surprise me with an Aluminum C6 in 2009.

I Squared off with my X in 2009, during x-mas time. Needless to say, it was time for a new release.

Not much Oakley takes place during the holidays for me either. I think my wife believes I buy enough of it on my own throughout the year. The adults don't buy for each other, if so not much. We keep the focus on the kids. I may get a tee or two but that's about it. Not that I'm complaining at all. It truly is about the kids and family. Although getting a C6 from my wife would've blew my mind!!!

I got my fist pair of romeos for Christmas many years ago when I was in high school. It was my last gift I opened.

My cousins somehow put a note inside a pack of football cards in my stocking. I didn't even notice it the first time I looked though the cards until they kept asking me what cards I got. I looked through them again and saw "go look in the microwave" note inside the pack. I was confused like what the hell is this and how did it get inside the pack. How did I not even see this the first time looking through these.

In the microwave there was another note telling me to look somewhere else. After about 5 different notes, it led me back to the chair I was originally sitting in and inside the little cabinet next to me was a wrapped gift. I opened it and it was an M-frame box, I was excited either way, I only had a pair of eye jackets back then. I thought they were M-frames, but as soon as I reached in the box I felt the heavy stiff frame inside the silk bag, I knew exactly what they were. I wanted romeos the first time I seen them in the case. I didn't even know what Oakley was the first time I seen them. I just always wanted those glasses.

This was a huge surprise. One of the most memorable gifts I ever received.
