I can tell by the shape that it won't fit me, but the Dita Decade-Two looks amazing. The pair, of course, celebrates their 20th year:

Being a Dita product, you know the attention to detail and quality will be second-to-none, but it's a hard pill to take at $1k for each of the three colourways. Still, that's the price of entry for the industry's hottest brands for the last 10 years, as well as impeccable Japanese titanium.

Saw these last week, they have a zero base lens.
The quality detailing is insane!!
I feel like past few season for Ditas are slowly creeping up in price.

Yeah, Dita prices have been creeping up over the last couple years. In fact, most of the top luxury brands have, especially those using Japanese titanium, I often wonder if Ti prices are the reason for the price bumps, or if prices are artificially inflated just to reaffirm luxury brand pricing.

Dita is just an amazing brand.
The Ti/price relation is one that i don't really believe in. As when, for example, you take a look at Porsche design, their older models have been quite steady price-wise, also the ones that make use of Japanese titanium. I think there is quite some part of the pricing due to the fact that it is a luxury brand.

Gentle Monster has gotten my attention over the last year, since they make some cool P3-style (ie. Round) glasses and that's what I've been wearing lately. Below are a couple of their crazier designs.

Great brand, but like Parasite Eyewear, I don't necessarily think their quality and materials is commensurate with their level of pricing (on some of them, anyway). Will definitely be keeping up with them to see what their future holds.

They have some crazy stuff right there. Never heard of them before actually.

Their Big Bully model reminds me of the new Piet Hein Eek eyewear.

They are made quite well actually.

Speaking of Dita, at the moment I just got an email that can get hold of some Dita models.
Only thing: there is an MOQ, but if there are enough people interested I can order some at a nice price (€180,-).

The models:
- Vultee - Brown tortoise earstems, black frames
- Oxford - Black
- Ciudad - Grey & Black/ Tortoise
- Kasbah - Black/ Tortoise w. Gold, Brown Tortoise w. Black & Black w. Silver
- Classe - Black/ yellow, Grey, Brown Tortoise

I can also get hold of some Gold & Wood models. Which will be around €150,- a pair (retailing at €350,-).

- H26P.4
- H26P.2
- Atria - Black Chrome/ Brown
- H31P.5

So, if some people are interested, just let me know. I think we need to order at least 6 pair. I can maybe place the order today. Otherwise it will be within two weeks or so.

Still, shipping will have to be added.

Ahlem Eyewear out of France looks good. I haven't tried them in person so I can't speak on the quality, but they have some great shapes. Below is the Victoire and Concorde:

Anyone have any experience with Carl Zeiss' Impacto lenses and their quality? Specifically how they stand up to daily wear and what material they are made of (is it Polyurethane like Trivex?). It is ballistic grade and is multiple times more impact resistant than (standard grade) polycarbonate.

It seems Police is doing a bit of licensing and product placement with comic book movies nowadays. First, it was the Batman v Superman watches. Now, one of their sunglasses is making an appearance in Captain America: Civil War. The Neymar Jr. 1 (S1948NVAH with custom lenses):

I had no intention of going with any Tavat stuff until I saw their Soupcan collection in person. So incredibly, wonderfully industrial that I had to get one:

How's the fit. Looks fairly rugged.

The fit on me is amazing and is something I can wear all day. It is front-heavy because it is constructed out of stainless steel, however, so it'll leave indentations on the nose bridge for sure.

Based on what I see RDJ wear in real life, the chances are just a good that those are just a pair he owns and added to the look on his own.

Nike Wing. Very cool. It uses Zeiss lenses, so it is top quality though no mention of impact resistance:

That looks pretty cool indeed! Curious how it looks in real life.
Speaking about lenses, I am really impressed by the glass lenses of Serengeti. Impact resistance is quite a thing though ;)

I haven't tried Serengeti lenses yet, but I tend to gravitate toward glass/crystal lenses nowadays as well since impact resistance and higher base curves aren't really relevant for me these days. Love the crisp optics.

True that, I often pick glass lenses for driving and such. For sports of course impact resistance is pretty important, so no glass there for me.

The independent brands these days are producing the most innovative aesthetics I've ever seen, using the highest quality materials in their construct and fit extremely well for all day comfort, but sometimes they produce some head scratchers. Like so:
