I just picked up a Crosshair Titanium frame w/ Ti Clear lenses from a fellow member. Does anyone know anything or have release history on this pair? Both of us would be curious to know the history on them.

Anyone? Surely someone knows something... Its not an interrogation, I promise.

Haven't followed the Xhair in a while, but there were a lot of custom lenses coming out of the factory back in the day via Total O and HunnyMonkey. Made it hard to keep track of what was an official release or not. If the pair you have wasn't an official colorway, it could be that it was one of these factory customs. Sorry I couldn't be of more accurate help.

Sorry. Only odd Crosshairs I know of are the Blue and Yellow ones from total-o.

There was also a Red one with G40 Black Gradient. Ruby Clear, Ice, Ruby, Emerald, and a whole bunch of other lenses (clear and otherwise) made available,

I picked up a red frame/black gradient along with a white frame and Ruby Clear lenses back in the day. I don't recall ever seeing a Ti Clear Crosshair lens. I say you have a rare on there.

According to the legend, it is suppose to be a rep exclusive but cant say for sure one way or the other.

Could very well be a rep exclusive. There were so many floating around back in the day. Either way, it looks to be a cool factory custom.

Thanks for all the info guys, if anyone has anything else feel free to chime in as well. Having come a little late to the game buy most standards is the bag in the picture a pretty common one? Or I guess was a pretty common one back in the day? This pair also spent quite a bit of time in Australia from what I can gather. Maybe a rep down there had them?

The HDO bag was fairly common. Came out around the time they released the cleaning kits, as I have a few of the same in flat cloth form rather than a bag.

The bag was originally intended to be a giveaway for taking a survey. Here was the original thread discussing the giveaway: http://o-review.com/portal_detail.asp?ID=8533

Greg, is there any sort of printed label on that white box?

yes, but unfortunately it was a sticker made by a dealer in AUS. The info was hand written underneath it. Says Ti Crosshair Ti Clear.

I believe these were mine and I sold them about 2 yr ago on the other forum to Jono, he was in singapore or Australia. I got them off eBay from Total O a couple yr before that, I don't recall if the box had the sticker or not.

Yup Bruce, they were yours, got them from Brian. At some point they went though Fshopauction as that appears to be who made the label.

The printed label question was to determine if it was a Total O pair, so it doesn't surprise me that it was. Cool stuff.

As for,the bag I kept them in that one as it was larger than the bag they came in. I had thought's of getting all the Ti clear Oakley and needed a Juliet an Hatchet but sold them for, some reason.
