Regarding the O Shoe (Shoe One)... all I have are NIB. I have a few of each color and sizes, both low top and high top. Apparently I hold these in higher esteem than most collectors. Like the M Frame, there are a ton of inventions and a lot of brave thinking that went into these. They certainly are on my top 10 list.

Additional note... the Shoe One is affected by light. They can fade over time. My recommendation is to keep them in the box and only bring them out when you want to show them off.

Did I say these are "special"?

Will you be posting what you will have for trade prior to the event so attendees can have an idea of what to bring or what would be an equitable offer? I can see collector's bringing X but losing on a wanted item because he/she didn't bring Y, which would've made for a fairer trade.

I will. I have a few O Shoes (Shoe One) NIB in a variety of low top and high top, all colors and a variety of sizes. I'll have many other hard to get items which I'll post prior to the event. I will also sign for those who trade with me. There will be RED collectibles. And tacos and Coronas. :-)

No offense taken Jim. Sometimes things get a little slow here, and I get nervous. Thanks for getting back to me. I'm going to be working on revamping the site to make it a little more accessible, as I realize the mobile environment is gaining much more of the market share.

Well there is a copper pair. I have those and while I understand the effects of light to them, they are copper even where the light doesnt get to them. Jim, there were 5 colors correct? Black, yellow, silver, white and copper?

No copper. Those must have been yellow exposed to a lot of light. Jim

Jumping back to this, I don't think that they aren't held in high esteem. I just think if someone was after a lot of the early vintage pieces, then anyone who may have something to trade, most likley has a pair. Glasses are always on the top of the totem pole, so pristine Mumbos, Zeros, X-Metals, tend to not have equivalent personal values in other catagories. Also shoes take up a ton of real estate in the display cabinets, so it's hard to make everything work.

It's the same with goggles. Not much love for them, unfortunately.

Well I will say that I have a great respect for the Shoe One because I beat the hell out of those and they lasted forever. I look back on it and wasn't sure what I was thinking. Why didn't I just keep them and not wear them? I think it's because they were too cool not to wear. Plus I worked in a warehouse part-time while going to college and they were the perfect shoe for it - they took everything that I could dish out and more.

I think again looking back the goggles are more valuable to me now then back in the day based on O history. The glasses definitely out-shined everything else back when I started getting into Oakley.
