Probably a longshot on this forum, but I'm just curious if there are any Sideshow or Hollywood Collectibles Group (HCG) collectors here?

If I had the room, I would most likekly collect the Lord of the rings line and the Marvel line, but my rooms would end up like Steve Carells house in the The 40-Year-Old Virgin....

As it stands, I only have 2 pieces, which are the Argonath, and Minas Tirith from the lord of the rings.

Ha. I hear ya Lee. I follow Sideshow but I don't currently have any of their pieces. I do have quite a long list of items I'd love to get from Sideshow.

Lee! I knew Dan liked this stuff (since he's like me and likes EVERYTHING collectible), but I had no idea you were interested in this stuff. Cool.

Dan, it's time to pressure you into buying something! :-D

As for myself, I like the life-size statues and that's my main focus. I have a small number of life-size busts and props, and I'd love to get a lot more in the next few years. Hopefully that'll lead up to buying a life-size Terminator Endoskeleton statue. Figures crossed.

I would LOVE a full size Terminator Oak, along with many other things.

Talking about full size sculptures, check out robo steels work, the 2.5 metre Optimus Prime is a must have;

The girl is better than the sculpture, but the robot's cool as well. ;-)

I'd love to have one of thise statues one day, but like the scrap metal art stuff it'd probably cost both arms and both legs to ship. Damn awesome, though.

If anything,I could still ship this:

Here's two of the things I've shared with Oak that I'd LOVE to get from Sideshow...

Oak your collection is outstanding - friggin awesome!
I do tend to LOVE collectible stuff - it's a problem - I know it.

Someday Oak I'll grab something from there - someday.

Nice choices Dan.

I may end up getting some of the premium format figures once the new Hobbit film is released.....

Nice, Dan. The War Machine 1:1 bust is on my shortlist for 2012. The real life pics I've seen of it look even better than the SS glammed up pics. It's also a friggin' huge statue; the gun itself is literally nearly arm's length.

Lee, I'm sure you'll have an incredible selection of Hobbit premium format statues to choose from. One thing SS does well is premium format and judging by their lineup of LoTR statues (especially the Moria Orc, Lurtz and Berserker), that's gonna be some good quality stuff coming out for you in 2013.

Someday, I'd like to do this kinda display for some of my statues:

Keeping dust off of statues is a pain and if it's gonna cost $1-2k/piece, I figure something like that is worth the investment. Besides, it'll class up the house and make it somewhat less geeky. LOL.

That's a lot of stuff in such a small space. I will strive for that.

Thanks Lee.

Oak, you better get War Machine so I can stop up and see it someday! It sounds so awesome! That type of display case is pretty classy. Those would look great.

WOH Lee - that's crazy. I hope he didn't buy all of that. Gosh darn. Neatly displayed though.

Dan, that's my intention but it may be delayed, as 2012 is getting more expensive:

Let me guess these are now of your shortlist Oak? Don't blame ya they're pretty awesome!

After seeing these and other Ironman helmets from over the years - part of me just wants one. The War Machine bust would be GREAT but I think right now just the head piece would be cool to have.

I'd put the Captain America and Thor stuff on the 'priority' list rather than the shortlist for now. It depends on what Oakley does with the WTF and it depends if the EFX stuff is made in conjunction with the movie's FX house or not. The War Machine keeps being pushed back. Too much cool stuff lately.

WTF remains appropriately named - as we don't really know what it is yet. All we have heard is something along the lines of 'crazy designs like OTT and Medusa was when they came out'. So we don't really know what WTF is.

I would guess that any hopes about it not being expensive is quite the pipe dream. I would expect 'WTF' to be exclaimed at both the first time we see it, and hear the price. LOL

You're probably right but a man can dream....that I'll be saying "WTF the price is so low!". :-D

Dan, saw the lifesize War Machine this weekend. It was a really cool piece, though I didn't like the paint on the darker grey portions.
