Glad you did. There's a few perks to membership aside from the forum. Under the community section, there's a gallery and a collection tracker. You can also now add things to the main database if missing. If you find things that need changing i can give you that privilege too.

Hi Guys,

Finally took the plunge and signed up after pouring through all the info on the site for a while.

I am based in the UK, but got my first pair of Oakley sunglasses in Australia in 2001- XX Fire Iridium (a completly indulgent purchase as I was a poor student) but, it was love at first sight, and in the end up, I wore them to death!

I followed these up a couple of years later when I had finished uni and started working with a pair of Ducati Valves and sort of trundled along for a bit with those two, until around a year and a half ago when I started buying and selling some pairs on ebay to build a little collection- keep the ones I love and trade up the ones I wasn't so fussed for, but fancied wearing for a week or two anyway.

I enjoy seeing new styles, trying them out for a bit, and then trading for something else- at the moment I have some black Holbrooks, Ducati Gascans, Ducati Plaintiffs, Riddles in black (despite not being crazy about them when I saw them online, I picked them up for only a few pounds, and they suit me more than any other pair I've had!), Gradient Crosshairs, and Square Wire 2.0 Silver Fire Iridiums.

So, looking forward to chatting to you all! :-)

Best,
Graeme

Welcome. Looks like we started the Oakley hobby around the same time. I'm always looking at new styles too and backfilling ones I may have missed in the past.

There's an 'add' button on the frame color listing page, which will make the collection addition a lot easier. Saves typing in as much.

I have been collecting a long time.... since 1988 when i was 14 it all started with a pair of Razor Blades that I still wished I had but anyway I have about 70 pair of glasses mainly sport frames razor blades, m-frames, radars, radar locks, half jackets, flak jackets, gas cans, antix, fuel cells, I am also pretty proud of my MM watch or Time Tank whatever you prefer to call it, my wife has 6 pair of the female Oakleys The Dangerous' and a pair of Disobey and some pink half jackets. They are all crammed into the black 6ft oakley case..... I have too much to list really ..... anyway I hope I can be a good addition to the site...Thanks for having me!!

Hi guys!

I'm John Paul from Manila Philippines. I'm a medical doctor - surgeon to be specific and a self confessed Oakley Addict. Started as an Oakely Diehard ever since my mum gave me a pair of Oakley Eyejacket when I was on 3rd grade (~age 9) Felt like i was the coolest kid in school wearing those shades :)

Been a collector ever since. I agree with the Oakley motto of "Blending Science with Art" as these two are the tenets of the study of medicine and a philosophy we follow as physicians.

You guys are the most amazing Oakley diehards and would glad to meet greet and shake your hand soon!

Kudos to everyone and be proud :) The coolest thing on earth. Oakley!

Doc jaypes!
