This is a great looking bag. Sturdy and durable, this makes a great every day laptop bag. The three pockets on the front add some much needed storage space, as there isn't much room on the inside if you're carrying a laptop. The straps on the ends are great for holding a water bottle and/or your laptop's power cord if it doesn't fit in the protective laptop sleeve along with your laptop. I love the shoulder strap.

Bad=ass bag that screams a lot of attitude! The inner separate notebook sleeve/bag don't contain metal materials and therefore TSA compliant giving protection to your notebook when they require you to take it out of your bag at airports.
The adaptable payload system is a plus. I own other AP pieces, bags, eyewear, mp3/cell phone pouches, so therefore I can do mix n match on the outer pouches depending on my needs. You can even add more pouches on the side straps of the bag or the back webbing if you really need the extra storage.
Oakley's AP system is technically the same as the military's molle system. If you own molle tactical pouches specific to its purpose, then you can do your own mix n match according to your preference.
The only drawback is there's no dedicated outer zippered pocket for your travel documents, paper tickets, or papers. This would come handy when you travel at airports without opening the main compartment. There is an outer pocket at the back with a zipper on the bottom. Main purpose is for attachment to a roller on luggage. If you don't use that function, then it's a great pocket for your documents. But some people like me would rather attach this big bag to my roller luggage at the airport. Even when you use the back pocket just for documents, there's a danger of loosing your documents in case you accidentally left the bottom zipper unzipped for whatever reason.
To solve this problem, again going back to the AP/molle system, I attached a flat vertical molle pouch designed for paper documents to the back webbing of the bag. The zippered document pouch is less than an inch thick and if you can find one of the same color to your bag it just look like it's still a part of the bag.

Fits my 17 inch Mac with not trouble. Inner sleeve that encases the laptop can be removed and used on its own complete with an inner pocket for a cable.

The 8 inner compartments are vast, padded and very versitle. There are two side sleeves (super imposed) against one wall, a keychain, a soft padded pocket, 3 pen/pencil loops, a zippered net pocket superimposed on another pocket. a padded velcro-flap pocket and on the adjacent wall 2 net pockets. They hold ...dics, mouse pads, mouse etc. The other 3 removable pockets I have used to contain a mouse, ipod, cables etc.

I agree with Tek Dragon with his point stating the desire to have a separate compartment for folders and papers etc. I adapt to this exclusion by putting papers/folders in the compartment housing the laptop.

The arm strap is very comfortable.

It is a larger bag and empty is heavier than your typical computer bag. The design is second to none and it will get noticed. It is tough and durable. I have put mine through hell and back and it shows no wear and tear.

When i bought my new laptop last year i had to get an Oakley bag for it and found this to be a great fit. The Storage for this bag is amazing... as with any Oakley Product they went with the whole MORE IS MORE thinking... MORE STORAGE! MORE PADDING! Everything was done correctly on this bag... I've used this bag exclusively for a few years now and have traveled extensively and have tried to beat the bag up and to no avail... it LOOKS BRAND NEW! That speaks to me of excellent craftsmanship! Oakley hit the nail on the head with this one.

Blue. Got this from the local rep, given as a gift to reps for somereason or another but was passed on to me also as a gift. Great bag, just screams Oakley, very tough, gets tons of looks and works great. Yet another solid piece of Oakley product and another happy consumer.

this is the laptop bag of my choice , this baby carries everything i need to take with me . the padding is A+ , the 3 front components, in which i put my mouse and electric cables
the only flaw is that it squeeks when you walk, due to the metal strap-rings. other than this , its perfect, including the styling

First, I would like to say that I recieved this bag for my 30th birthday, after begging my family to buy it for me. For their generosity, I am eternally grateful.

I have tested this bag in one of the most grueling real-world scenerio: I am a high school special education teacher without a classroom. I carried my 17" laptop, grade and plan books, all my classroom materials (paper, pens, folders, etc.) and extra stuff for meetings as well as my power adapter in this bag.

The bag showed absolutely no signs of wear after lugging all of this around a city high school for 3 months. It was comfortable to carry, held EVERYTHING, was easy to get into and always recieved compliments from fellow teachers.

This bag is rugged and huge, and the ONLY choice if you have a 17" laptop.

This is a review and a follow up to TecDragon. First of this is one of the best laptop bag I have ever had. My previous PC bags where Tumi and Halliburton. The construction on this bag is first rate. I am a Programmer and I take this bag every where with me to see all my clients in Miami. The removable bags are a huge plus for me as I keep them stocked with various parts I need for my jobs, when all I’m doing is downloading I can leave the other stuff at my office. At first my visually looking at the shoulder strap I thought I was going to have to replace the shoulder strap because visually it looks uncomfortable. I was way wrong I can now carry more wait than before with less stress on my shoulder. Great R&D Oakley, nice job! As far as what Tec dragon was talking about, yes at first it was a drag to have to take out a second section to get to my laptop. But I easily solved this buy opening the flap all the way back and reversing the side that faces out so now it just slips in and out. In the event I feel I need for protection (traveling etc) I can simply reverse it back. I hope Tec Dragon reads this and finds this useful. If you need a bag of this size don’t think twice it awesome.

A super bag, and I sadly don't have a laptop to go with it. I love the notion, though, of having that seperate padded "case" enclosed within the computer bag. Lots of room, multiple compartments.

Oakley finally made a computer bag with a fully padded compartment for laptops, however the interesting thing about it is that the padded laptop compartment is a seperate component from the rest of the bag, which can be pulled out. This makes it kind of a pain because to get your laptop out you need to unzip the main compartment and then the padded one. Kudos to Oakley for adding a powercord compartment next to the laptop compartment. The front three compartments are removeable as per the Adapatable Payload system which is kinda cool. I wish the bag had one extra compartment just for papers, folders, or magazines, it starts to buldge a little if you have those things in there while a laptop is in it's compartment. Also, the front bags make it a little difficult to get to the release latches for the front flap. The bag is BIG and the military look is cool, but I don't think it would work well for business types like the old bags did, but if you're a super geek, you'll love this bag and be the envy of you're friends.
