The first digital watch, it is something an Okaley Collector must have in their collection!

sweet watch! Oakleys first!! bought two and one is still sealed! black on black! then comes the GMT wow! any Oakley watch is great! can't wait for the new GMT 2 to come out!! or the D4!
keep up the superb work Oakley! Thank you!!
Great watch, easy to read, easy to operate and strap is easy to break, but HARD to find... It's been 3 years that I look forward to get a replacement strap, and Oakley discontinued the product so no replacement part available, and it's a unique mount system, so that's impossible to find a third party strap....
I've been wearing this watch for three years now, and am very pleased with it. Prior to this I wore a Nike "sport" watch which snapped off my wrist after three months. I've worn this watch daily and it has seen its share of abuse. The silver around the face is just starting to chip, and the band really reeks if you don't wash it for awhile, but I can handle aesthetic shortcomings as long as the watch is mechanically solid.

This is an awsome watch. It is packed with plenty of useful functions and multiple alarms and timers. These are perfect for anyone who is into summer activities that might get them wet. This watch has a unobtanium strap that seems to attract fluff and dust. The face looks very cool with the black face and greyish/yellow numbers. Oakley deffinately should not have discontinued this line.

Why did they have to discontinue digital!? I really loved D1!! I used them on my long run and marathon. Only complain was the battery issue. Bring back the great watch!!
Good watch for every day use.
The band is a fluf attractor.
Works well in water.
Great functionality for racing and lap times.

Overall the watch has plenty of valuable functions and looks good at the same time. I use it in the water and never an issue. My only complaint is that the rubber strap seems to be a lint/fluff magnet.
Black/Goldenrod
Compared to other digital watches this is top of the line. There are so many features on this watch I still haven't figured them all out. If you do lots of interval training or lap timing this is the watch for you.
The watch band feels cheap however, I have found it to be very resilient and strong. My only knock on this watch is the yellow paint is easily chipped and is falling off. I think that during its time, it was way better then any timex but with a price tag that large for a digital watch many people would bypass it. I think it sucks Oakley is discontinuing their digitals. This is a great watch for any kind of athlete.

Great digital watch. All the functions you would expect from a digital watch. The digital display is nice and big. My only complaint is that the rubber band is a little flimsy. Nontheless, it's a great watch.

i don't usually like digital watches, but seeing these are Oakleys, i'll let the D1 slide. actually, this is the best looking digital watch i've seen, with an overall design that is unmistably Oakley. i love the embedded Oakley icon and the sculpted buttons. unlike most of the other D1's, i also love the fact that the digital readout are grey letters on a black background instead of vice versa, which adds to the Black/Black colour scheme. the unobtanium band seems to be of lower quality grade than on their Analog series watches, and for some reason it attracts a lot of dust and lint. however, the D1 is very comfortable to wear and does what it does very well.

Definitely a great digital watch. It was my first Oakley watch and it's the one I've used the most besides my GMT. It's a good watch to wear mountian biking and for athletic activities. The multiple alarms and the dual time zone display are nice features to have. This is a tough, practical, multi-use timepiece.
This is a great watch for everyday use. It has taken a beating but still looks new. I wear it to work, riding my bike and even to work outside. My battery finally died after five years of use. Well worth the $4 dollars for a new battery.

I've had the watch for about 6 months now and I'm finally posting the review since I'm just now starting to use the watch what I bought it for. I'm using it to referee soccer games, which has turned out to be a great idea, since I can hold 3 diffrent countdown timers on the watch at one time. Nothing groundbreaking but a nice little feature that saves a bit of time between games i've i'm working a tournament. Alarm isn't the loudest but gets the job done. Styling is simple and the watch on the whole seems to be well made. The light is a little odd, but it works alright. Price is a bit high, but that comes with the "O" i suppose.
I bought this watch 3 years ago. I got the GoldenRod one and a lot of people seem to compliment it because of the design. The battery just went out recently and I've used the light function a lot so the battery life is awesome. I highly recommend this watch.

A good little digital watch. I like the contrasting colors with the black face and yellow readout. Good funtionality and features. A bit steep at the $180 mark, especially when the D2 and D3 come out at a cheaper rate. Personally, I use it for a good weekend and vacation/trip watch as to avoid endangering the GMT.

Looks cheap. The bracelet has the Time Bomb look. I rather wear my Time Bomb

GREAT watch for everyday use. I have 4 of them , and they go great with all of my Oakley apparel. Good functionality. I would keep this watch out of the salt water. The band is a bit soft, so you have to be careful.

I've had this watch for several years and it has held up perfectly, with one exception - the Unobtainium clasp that holds the band has begun to rip. However, Oakley probably has clasp replacements available. Other than this small flaw the watch is great, it has excellent styling and wonderful features such as dual time zone display, multiple alarms, a well designed countdown timer function, sapphire face, good button layout and the Unobtainium band. This watch was well worth the $180.
I have the blue and although I like it, it is the least favorite of my 7 Oakleys.. It sticks up a little more than all the others and the band is a little 'stickier'
