Frame: Polished Black
Lens: +Red Iridium Polarized

The Jawbones are very comfortable, the styling is sleek, with different lines than a lot of the frames. Changing the lenses seems to be easy, since they slide in compared to clicking in. The frames may look really big on smaller faces.

Weight 30 gm. Of course, the feature of these is the fact that they are (among) the first gen jawbone (type) of quick change glasses which must have made millions for Oakley due to sales of spare lenses!! They are simple to customise and to swap lenses, which was always a difficult feat (comparatively) with previous (and subsequent) Oakleys. Eye coverage is superb, making them excellent for most outdoor sports. I use them for skiing, cycling and general streetwear and they are both functional and look fantastic. Overtime, the earsocks distort and "over run" their positions (they stretch). Apart from that, a great looking pair of sunglasses which are easily customisable. The jawbone parts can be interchanged with the "wind jackets" and the "split jackets". Oakley sold tons of these, so you can pick them up second hand easily and cheaply! For those that are wondering, the main difference between this and the later "racing jackets" (with folding arms) are that the arms had a small hole on the ends for a lanyard/strap. Of course, slightly different colour combos came out in the racing jackets as well.

Frame: Polished Black - Livestrong
Lens: Black Iridium/HI Yellow

This pair of glasses is hella comfortable and definitely great for going out on your bike, going for a run, etc. I only kinda wish that I hadn't gotten the Livestrong pair because the yellow is a little too much to be able to wear these out anywhere just casually. I keep hoping Oakley will start selling just the jaws separately, but no luck yet!

Frame: Polished Black w/Red Bolt and Metallic Red Logo
Lens: OO Red Iridium Polarized & Persimmon

Great solid feeling design with no pressure points and all day wear possible. I was initially sceptical if the design suited my face when trying on the retina burn and atomic burst colour schemes, but, when I tried the matte and polished black frames I found that the design fit my face and looked good enough for casual use instead of just sporting use. I hardly feel the weight on my nose and it feels lighter than all my Rudy Projects. The lens change mechanism is very easy to use, but, from a few bad reviews about peeling nose pieces I am very careful when flipping the nose pieces.

I am asian and I do not need an asian fit version. Asian fits are really only for people with very wide flat faces as the bottom edge of the jaws will dig into their upper cheeks. This fits my head perfectly and no matter how much I move around or sweat it does not move at all, those sticky rubber nose and ear pieces really do grip your skin. Eye coverage is great as it has enough space around so it doesn't touch my face at all and there is no light leakage from the outside. Using the standard nose pieces I am not able to shove the frame completely onto my face as I have long eye lashes so it touches the lenses and I find this annoying, so, my solution is to just move the frame a fraction of a millimetre away from my face and problem solved.

I think that these frames are very expensive so only you can decide if what they offer is worth it.

I have to say that this is the best sunglasses frame I have ever used, it is more comfortable than the Racing Jackets which didn't fit me perfectly as it sat askew on my face. I am very happy with it as well as the lens package. The OO Red Iridium polarized is an amazing lens even with its limitations go and I have a review of it in the lens section.

If I ever have to buy a replacement I would go full custom, so I guess that shows how much I like this frame.

Frame: Red
Lens: Photochromic

Jawbones are poor designed cycling glasses with blind spots. Lenses are good but that is the only thing with these glasses. They are only designes for a specific sized face and the additional nose pieces are useless as well. The price for what they are is out rageous. I would tell anyone to go for a ride and try before you buy as you will most likely change your mind

Frame: Retina burn
Lens: Black Irid/ Yellow

On the plus side: Fit well, very light and very comfortable. Look really, really great.
On the minus: Visibility field is not as good as the Radar's. Generally speaking, I liked these less.

I ride mountain and road bikes, sold my Jawbones and went back to my good ol' radar paths.

larger in person then I was expecting, I personally like oakleys unusual looking pairs and this is definetly one of them. they are the replacements of the racing jacket, I personally like the racing jackets better

If I could give these a 4 and a half I would because these are a very revolutionary frame with tons of versatility. The coverage is awesome and they seem to have a pretty good grip despite the shorter earstems. They come in some very unique color combinations and the lens options are very unique also. The only things I can see that are slightly off as far as this frame is that while riding a bike it is somewhat difficult to look down because the bottom of the frame is in the way. This is why I still feel the Radars are the best biking frame. The only other thing is that the case for the Jawbone has slots for two sets of lenses, but keeping the extra lenses in the outer slots can scratch the sunglasses while taking them in and out of the case. These are just minor things and I'm sure Oakley is already working on them, but these are overall a groundbreaking frame.

Frame: POLISHED BLACK
Lens: +RED IRIDIUM POLARIZED

what can i say with the design... its new and sleek and will eventually take time to be accepted in the line of sunglasses because of its loud lens aggressiveness look. i am really amazed with the technology that oakley used in the indtroduction of the switchlock technology. very nice grip in the head eventhough that it has a small arm holding firmly in the head. very customizable lenses. hopefully we can also customize the oakley logo and the thru bolt in time through online purchase. one thing i found is that you have to be very careful when you rest your jawbone in the case. extra lens may hit the primary lens in the jawbone. i really dont know how to settle it good in the case. i found that laying it upside down is a little bit moving sideways but if upright it is also forwarding touching the extra lens in the front. you might use the microfiber to protect it in the case. and make use of the center extra lens pocket to really protect na primary lens. overall the jawbone really rocks. not just only in sport but also as a lifestyle piece.

Frame: POlished Black
Lens: PErsimmon / +REd Polarized

Excellent design idea. They're a bit big for my face. I swore I'd never buy a pair and would stick with my Radars. BUt I got a huge deal on one of these and decided to give it a fair chance.

Technically, the Jawbone's fast lens swapping ability has totally sold me on the design. Wearing them, they still look a bit odd and bit non traditional. After you wear them for a while, they do tend to trend towards the side of "fashion". I think it has to do with the BIG Lens size so they do look like the Oversize glasses that are popular.

A day after purchasing these, I wore them for 3 hours playing volletball in 90+ degree heat with 90%_+ humidity. For such a small amount of unobtanium on the ear stems, these glasses STUCK to my face. No mmatter how much jmmping, head shaking, diving, etc. I did, these glasses DID not move.

Functionally, I would give these 5 out of 5. As for the "look", these are more function over form and are extremely unique. I'd give them a 4 out of 5 for the look.

Great pair, especially for sports.

Frame: Polished Black (Livestrong Edition)
Lens: Black Iridium + Yellow (both vented)

This is by far the best innovative design Oakley has ever made. I have been a collector of Oakley eyewear for almost 13 years now (with my old ones still intact and still using it), and this Jawbone is one rare specie that was ever created. The fit, contour, lens, design are above par. It is somewhat a distant predecessor of the Racing Jacket plus all the new innovations, so to speak. The "Switchlock" design revolutionized the Jawbone, thus, making it the best design ever created by Oakley (personally). In addition to that, the fuctionality of the switchlock is effortless and secures the lens superbly, Moreover, the package comes with a soft vault case, extra lens with its own pouch, extra switchlock nosepads and pouch for the jawbone. However, I will concur with some of the guys that the earstems are a bit small considering the size of the orbitals..
Oakley Doakley -
Frame: BMX Chrome
Lens: Jade, Violet, +Red

Fit... if you have never tried on a pair of Jaw's, do so. They fit superbly. Even better than Straight Jackets I think. They fit loose but snug... hard to explain... maybe it's because they're SO light yet they fit the contour of my face SO well. You hardly know they're on. They don't move either.

So, greatness of fit aside, I was debating between this set, and the Atomic Orange set. Despite the higher price tag, these facts pushed me over the edge and made me get these instead:

1) Exclusivity... limited edition, hell, Oakley website doesn't even sell them yet. Limited production run. They JUST got in one of our stores here. I found out after calling them, and bought them right over the phone and had them send it to me. The clerks were actually ticked that I bought it before them... lol. So yeah, these things are rare, and might be worth more a few years down the road...not that I'm planning to sell them.

2) 3 sets of lenses, 3 sets of earsocks to match... In essence, I'd be getting 3 sets of glasses for the price. I planned to switch ear socks every time I switched lenses, but I decided to order black ear socks instead (more on this issue later). All 3 lenses are vented, and are not available as accessory lens purchases from Oakley. So again, exclusivity applies here too. I think all 3 lenses look cool, but I'd have to go with the Jade ones as the coolest, since I don't own a pair of Oakleys with that lens color yet.

3) Chrome frame... couple that with the matte black jaw, and it's an eye grabber. The chrome goes well with any lens. And again, you can't get this color chrome on any jawbone, custom or regular.

I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I had issues with some peeling that happened after attempting to switch ear socks. I obviously want to switch ear socks to match the lenses, but after just owning them for a day, the ear socks caused the frame to peel a very thin film of plastic. The ear socks themselves are a ROYAL PAIN to put on. I wish Oakley would have designed a better way to get these socks on, whether it increase the tolerance on those socks or changing the smaller to larger frame diameters during the sock installation process. Needless to say, I had to call Oakley and send it in.

I also had an issue with the violet lens having an "etch" mark in them... sort of like a water spot. I sent those in as well to get fixed. So right now, I am anxiously awaiting for them to return...

I am still please with Oakley's overall quality and customer service, as this is the first pair I have had issues with (I own/owned 9 pairs over the last 10 years).

In summary, 4 out of 5, for some quality issues, but kudos to design, form, fit, function, and exclusivity.

Frame: Custom/Team Orange
Lens: Fire Iridium Polarized/Persimmon

I customized my Jawbones in complete orange. I prefer the Team Orange version to the Atomic Orange version. The Team Orange is much more stronger looking color. They fit perfect and look great. I'll wear them a lot while cycling this season.

Frame: Matte White
Lens: Black Iridium Polarized

Very cool, functionality is perfect. I'm not a fan of vented lenses, but these are for a niche market. My only real complaint is a hydrophobic lens with vents means that water gets blown into your eyes. I know that there are "solid" lenses, so it's not really a big issue.

Frame: matte black
Lens: vented black iridium
Good fit. Outrageous look. I wear them in uniform (soldier). Colored the jaw bolt black, looked better that way. Purchased the vented black iridium polarized (need the darkest lens, wish they made darker) and the positive red iridium polarized (just for kicks). love these, fit is outstanding. They dont fog and the wind doesnt blow through the nose piece on your eye.

Frame: Retina Burn
Lens: Vented Black Iridium

No photograph can capture the vivid nature that is retina burn.

I really appreciate this colour combination on the field. Not particularily useful for common day use (but that depends on your style) however in the environment for which these were made these guys flourish.

Extremely comfortable, light, secure, durable, large orbitals (larger than the Pit Boss & MD) providing great coverage, stylish are some of the properties I would use to describe these. The Switchlock technology is unique and the ease of lens replacement makes me egar to purchase more. They have a deep wrap thereby allowing them to sit close to the face making them visually pleasing on medium and possibly small headsizes.

The case provided is nice compartmentalized (i was not expecting this) for the glasses and 2 sets of replacement lenses. The microfibre bag is nicely patterned with sketches of certain jawbone features. The microfiber bag also has a separate compartment for replacement lenses, a feature I have not seen in other microfiber bags before.

I have not tested them out on the field yet but given its characteristics I do not expect to be disappointed.

Frame: Matte White
Lens: VR28 Black Iridium & Persimmon

It was agonizing choosing between this color and the Retina Burn. The only thing that swayed me was that the Retina Burn green is too close to Kawasaki green. I'm a Yamaha guy so I couldn't see myself going over to the green side.

These have amazing fit. Comfort-wise, these are second only to the Romeo 2. They're very light weight though the Flak/Half Jackets are just a tad lighter for a sport specific frame. The large frames provide great coverage. They sit very close to your face all around and, on me, just barely touch my cheeks. But not uncomfortably so. Giving up the half rim framed from the Flak/Half jackets required going big with the frames to give you a similar field of vision. It works but it also limits the face types/sizes that can wear these.

The Half Jackets hold on a bit better than the Jawbone. But the Jawbone holds better than the Flak Jackets by far. I never understood why Oakley shaped the earstems on the Flaks so straight.

Changing lenses on these are a no brainer. No bending, stretching, twisting or snapping required. Pop the nose bombs off on their hinges and the jaw drops open with no resistance. The lenses slide out and the next set slides in. I can't wait until the lens kits become available.

Included in the package are 2 sets of lenses (Persimmon is the backup pair in this case). You also get another pair of nose bombs that are bigger in case you need the frames to sit a little further off your face. A molded nylon case is also included. The microfiber bag is unique to the Jawbone with special graphics and a 2 section pouch integrated to carry a second set of lenses.

They certainly aren't cheap but I'd say they're the best sports glasses Oakley has produced to date.

Frame: Matte White
Lens: VR28 Black Iridium

Looking at the jawbone shades the matte white immidiately caught my attention. The VR28 lense is great in all light conditions and really adds to bring out the frame. They are very light and the lenses are easily interchanged. Not sure when I would wear the persimmon lense but it is a cool add none the less.

Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Polarized +Red

Tried these on today courtesy of a fellow O-freak. Sleek, sophisticated, and aggressive styling meets mad science head-on with the introduction of Oakley's patented new Switchlock technology. Jawbone also provides excellent coverage, although some would prefer a slightly smaller version (listen up, Oakley!). Only one area remains for improvement, however: their grip. Although adequate in cranial adhesion, other sport-specific pairs such as Radar prove to be more slip-resistant during rigorous activity.

Frame: Polished Black
Lens: Positive Red Polarized

Man, this pair offers a solid One,Two punch. In terms of design and color combo (frame structure and positive red lens), it is just simply stunning and functional. The name given fits it perfectly too.
This is a first where the hex head is colored so customization will be endless... the jaw, main orbital, earstem, screw, metal icon, earsock and the lens all come in different colors so one can mix and match to your desire. The contours of the frame is really out there and shows a lot of art. The light-weightness is also worth mentioning. The only thing I can say negative about this, is the huge orbitals, but it came that way for a reason. The earstem is also a bit small making it a little awkward with the big orbitals
