I can finally wear Gascans! The standard Gascans were just too big for my face and I didn't think the smaller versions would make that much of a difference, but they fit like a glove. Also, I don't miss the Unobtainium thanks to the increased curve of the ear stems causing the glasses to fit snuggly around my super-sized cranium, although sometimes when wearing them for extended periods of time, the tops of my ears can start to hurt a bit. Nonetheless, my favorite part of the glasses is the chrome "square O" on the temples, adding a touch of class to these sporty-looking glasses while also telling everyone who looks that I am wearing genuine, pimpin' Oakley sunglasses.

For the rare few of us that aren't compatible with the Gascan we can now take solace in the Gascan S. As with the Monster Pup, the Gascan S seems to be only fractions smaller. A nicely compact style. Whether it be the elimination of the tiny fin on the lower stem or the extra 1/4 inch added to them, the fit is what I had wanted from the Gascan all along. The grip is secure and they no longer slide down with any small twitch my ears or nose makes.

Great pair of O's right here. A bit small in my book, but I normally wear Eyepatches and Spikes. They're lightweight, good enough coverage. A nice evolution of the Gascan.

Missing stars go to coverage, and lack of unob.

These are pretty sweet. I love the Brown Smoke frame's, and the Text just is a bonus. I like to be different than the people rocking the same old polished black frames. Anyways, I bought these because they were relatively cheap. (Picked up the Amber for $50!).
I thought these would fit like the Gascan's, but with a much better wrap around the head. These definitely succeed in that way, but surprisingly enough, the standard Gascan's fit my Asian face much better (besides the Arms). The arms wrap right around the head perfectly, and are the perfect length as well. The place where it fails for the Asian face is at the nose bridge. They sit kind of low and too close to the face. It seems like the Standard Gascan has a much bigger nosepiece compared to the S. The Canteen is probably closest to the actual size of the Gascan Small. Coverage is alright but limited with the small lens, but still, that's only a small issue. It's weird...the Asian fit Gascan's are too wide for me, but sit better. The standard Gascan's are perfect, but slide off due to the lack of curve around the arms. The Gascan S fixes that problem, but sit closer to the face than the standard Gascan. Oh well. Still, the Gascan family is awesome. Grab a pair while you can!

This is a smaller version of the normal Gascan and fitting me perfect. The normal Gascan is a tad too big. It's a very edgy design, a modern interpretation of aggressive Oakley design. The big earstems and Squsre O's really look good.

The Black / Black combination is a very basic and versatile combination. It really has it's appeal as a black shade, and you just need to have something like that!

Unfortunately through the Polarized lenses I can't see anything but a black screen on most camera displays. This is a bit annoying since I always forget that I can't wear that sunglasses on a sightseeing trip. With the iPhone display it's no problem.

Having sold a pair of unused Gascan asian fit, I thought I'd never try the S, but I was wrong till now. Ordered a pair off eBay from the clearance sale and I was quite surprise that these actually fit me well but not perfect. Comparing the regular Gascan to the Gascan S, the size difference between the two is quite noticeable. Still can't believe that I actually went for a regular Gascan knowing that I have a small head. before that, I was wearing Four S and Fives 3.0 and Squared and these all fit my face like a glove. Ordering a regular Gascan was like a big mistake but not for the Gascan S. From a style vs. functionality point of view, the Gascan S is probably one of the best lifestyle Oakley sunglasses to date. I'm actually quite surprised that Oakley didn't make any limited edition versions of the Gascan S knowing that they are probably as popular as the regular Gascan. The optics of the Gascan S are great and the wrap is very good. However, due to my asian features, the nose pads on the S wasn't perfect. I wish Oakley did an Asian fit version of the Gascan S with larger nose pads. Other than that, I love the Gascan S. Now, I hope Oakley gives the same treatment to the Fuel Cell. Some of us are hoping to see a Fuel Cell S in the near future. but for now, I'll just have to make do with the Gascan S and I'll give it 4 skulls.

These are a great pair of shades. I got them over a year ago and they were my first pair of Oakleys. they pretty much started my oakley obsession and now I have five pairs. Now that I have a pair of oil rigs and antix these dont get worn quite as much as they used to but I still wear them pretty frequently. They are very comfortable and look good on almost anyone. I have a pretty big head and they still fit and look great. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a stylish and great all around pair of sunglasses

I had these for a week before returning them. They do look great and I did really like them but three things made me give them up:
1. Although they fitted well, it was a bit too tight on my nose bridge and behind the ears. Wearing these for too long actually give me headaches!
2. They were just that little bit too wide and didn't wrap around enough at the outer edge of lens. On a bright day, I actually could see the reflection of my skin on the two upper far corners on the inside of the lens. At first I thought it was a smudge. This did get a bit distracting.
3. It was a little heavier than sunglasses that I'm used to.

But again, I really did like them. My friend has the Gascan but these were just too big. Gascan S was definitely better fit (apart from the points above).

I would definitely recommend these to a friend as long as they try them on sufficiently.

I could not wear GASCANS because they were too large for my face. Thank you Oakley for the Gascan S. They fit my face nicely and they don't slide down like the Gascan did. I do have a narrow/small face and always have a hard time finding frames to fit my face; anyway, these are a great alternative if the regular Gascan are too big for you.

Was about to purchase twitch, when the lady suggested these. I own regular gascan and thought these would be too similar, but they really give a whole new look but still have all the great qualities that make the gascan sucha great frame. The shadow camo took a bit of getting used too but it gets more looks then regular polished black. These are my first polarized lenses as well and they are amazing. My only gripe on these is that when they are folded they dont sit flat like regular gascan because the arms are so long, but its not a big deal. These are great glasses dont let the "small" name differ you i can wear the normal gascan snuggly and the gascan s is even more comfortable. its really just a more aggressive edgier frame. not smaller. great job oakley once again.

The polished black frame is like the polarized black iridium lens; they are shiny and reflect in the light. Style meets class half way!

I love the Gascan S! I traditonally wear half-jackets, and Fives 3.0. I thought i would branch out a little and try them. I am very happy with the fit. They are more snug then the fives 3.0 asian fits but not as snug as the hafl-jackets. I have a small to medium head size and they fit me great. The polarized grey lens is awesome in all light levels. 5 bones.

These glasses look cool. I bought them because i felt like the gascan was just a little large for me. Now that i have them though i feel like the dont fit as nicely as the gascan. I never wear them, but i find myself wearing regular gascans quite often

If you feel that the Gascan design is just too big for your face, then the Gascan S is certainly one for you to try.
This frame will fit virtually all face types, and is very comfortable to boot.
It would be nice to finally see some more lens choices in the lineup though.

I will echo many of the other reviews praising the longer, more curved earstems compared to Gascan. They offer a much more secure fit. I actually miss the little fin at the hinge, though, because the sharp corners of the orbitals on Gascan S seem a bit unfinished since they don't smoothly blend into the earstems. One minor gripe: the angle of the hinges combined with the length of the earstems makes the glasses sit strangely when the earstems are folded. I actually put them upside down for storage. The slightly narrower frame definitely makes an improvement in fit compared to Gascan for smaller faces.

Brown Smoke is a great frame color on its own, but the Oakley Text print makes it very unique indeed. The grey/black text actually hides on the brown frame until you look at them up close or under brighter light. Tungsten Iridium does seem very much like Titanium or Gold Iridium, but I can't quite figure out what color the Iridium is.

I am with Doc Crip on these...streamlined from GC and fit as if made for my face . I also prefer Black or Brown for colorways so for me these may be the perfect Oakley for fit and look. My polarized Bronze will be here tomorrow then Ill have all of whats out there. 5 big stars for this smaller frame.
Update Polarized Bronze pair lived up to my expectations I guess there's no such thing as having all colorways anymore with the OCE thing butI'd like to think I do have all of these

The problem of the original Gascan was that the shape of the earstems was straight all the way back. The Gascan S has more of a curve to it. This way it will stay on your head when moving a lot. The coverage is very good aswell.
The Oakley Text print is awesome! It really makes it stand out more in comparison with the normal Brown Smoke. Also the little Block Icon on the end of the earstem is a nice detail.
The Tungsten Iridium is for me practically the same as Titanium Iridium.
Overall I would say that the Gascan S is a very good pair for smaller heads that require a thighter fit.

These shades are really cool. I fell in love with the text after seeing it on the Rep Special Gascan and on the inside of the Sheckler Twitch and had to get some of these. Definitely glad that I did, hopefully we see more text stuff with the Gascan S and Monster Pup. As far as functionality, I find these to be better than the Gascan as they don't slide off as easily as the original.

Picked these up on a whim locally. The text print had attracted me, but when I tried them on, the fit was what really sold me. The problems I had with the Gascan have been resolved in my eyes. There's a deeper wrap, tighter fit, and all still without the use of unobtainium, so the price point is still low. I haven't had a problem with these sliding off like the Gascan and Five 3.0. The lenses also seem to be set farther away so my eyelashes don't touch and create a blur in my line of vision.

As for Tungstean Iridium, I honestly can't tell the difference between this and Titanium. Both seem to use the common Bronze lens like Ti and Gold, so I'm unsure what is new. I'm guessing the Iridium.

This fits me perfectly! I really had reservations before buying this since I've read and heard(from Jumpman mostly)that the lens size is not much different from the regular GC(that for some reason fits me better now than before from my original review, I'm actually going to pick up a pair or 2). This is so light weight, eye coverage is awesome, it definitely fits better on my face than the GCs. It's great to have the text frame, it adds an extra something to it. The lens color is well balanced, it has the same effect if you wear a VR28 Black Iridium or the Titanium.

My take is this is the best pair of Oakleys I've purchased in a year in a half excepting the Scelzi R2's. There is none of the "Ray Charles" Claustrophobia that the darker frame (David Flores Model esp.) Regular Gascan's can induce. The Frames are a thing of beauty. The Tungsten iridium doesn't overwhelm the bronze base tint. Here's hoping Oakley will add the Gascan S to the OCE program. The curve of the earstems is just right!

I really did not notice a huge difference of the Gascan S from the Gascan. I do like the design of the Gascans a bit better because of the little extra part by the side eye orbitals. Color options is what will have to swing me in getting one of these pairs. The fit is very nice though. They are very light weight and fit comfortably on my head. I was worried about that because these are supposed to be a slimmer version of the Gascans and that these would not fit by big filipino head at all. I thought they would fit me like the Minutes. I was very surprised that these fit me well just like the newer Gascans. I also could not really see a huge difference in lens size between the GC and GC S when I was wearing them. Still, the GC S offers the same awesome eye coverage as its GC big brother. I feel like if you were hoping for a smaller version of the GC this really won't be what you are expecting. Hopefully, color options not available in the GC will be offered in the GC S and will make this another great seller. Looking forward to the Brown Smoke Text.

Great pair of sunglasses. I love the look and it fits me! The regular Gascan is a wee bit too big but the Gascan S is perfect. I thought my armani looked good, but personally, these are way better.
