Frame: Olive
Lens: Grey

This is my fourth Warden review, so I will just concentrate on what makes them different from the others in my collection.

The color is great! The Olive is a nice, slightly glossy, brushed finish that is the perfect shade of green. The Grey lenses are a little boring, but I can't think of a color that would go better with the Olive, so it works well.

The frame itself seems a bit thinner than the trigger stems. On one hand this makes them lighter, but on the other hand they have a more flimsy feel. I've worn them quite a bit now and they have held up really well, so I'll chalk that feeling up to perception. They fit very well and have a really great classic aviator style with that cool Oakley twist.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I love Warden's! 5 skulls.

Frame: Pink Camo
Lens: Violet

Took me a while to finally get these, but I did eventually. I wanted to get a hammer stem one for the collection, and Pink Camo seemed to be the only one readily available still in that configuration. I've never wear them, but they're a nice splash of color in the wire section.

Since hammers are now on the Crosshair, there's no need for the Wardens to have them too, but it's a nice snapshot of Oakley history, when you have multiple generations lined up. The lenses are the same as the second generation so no difference there. The hammers do provide more of the traditiona three-point fit, while the triggers tend to push on your ears a little more, but both are great pairs to collect or wear.

Frame: SIlver Straight arm
Lens: Polarized Back Iridium

THis is by far my favorite Oakley wire frame, and I've owned most of them at one time or another. I have a medium-large head; I wear Romoes, Big Squares and Twenties comfortably.

The straight arm is more comfortable on me than the trigger arms, and the slight frame flex is good of your ears are uneven, they almost adjust themselves. The large frame size provides great coverage, but the classic aviator style is less striking than the Gascan or Riddle.

I really enjoy my custom combo, and I can't wait to find the Olive frame!

Frame: White ("One-Off" colourway given to a handful of athletes)
Lens: Black iridium

Great looking pair. If they had the logo and earsteam found on the Crosshair, they'd be perfect. They're as well made as the Crosshair (though both are not as well made as the A, E, or Square Wire). I'm giving the Warden a 4.5 (or a 5 since I'll have to round up).

Frame: polished gold
Lens: vr28 gold

I was trying to choose a color and all were nice, but in my opinion the gold one is the only one that is really worth buying. The silver one is not as nice as the New Aviators from Ray-Ban ( you should look it before getting the Oakley one ), but I really loved my gold one!

Frame: Olive
Lens: Grey

Oakley's rendition on the classic Aviator style sunglasses... really interesting but I'm not sure if it's wholly successful. From a design standpoint, there's a couple of very interesting and unique elements Oakley incorporated. Linear ear stems are so much better on aviator frames; I tried on most of Ray Ban's aviator styles and I could never get them to fit because of the lack of linear ear stems. Also, the hammer type design are incorporated in the ear stems, freeing temple pressure. I love the Oakley spread logo on top of the top nose bridge; the logo is deeply sculpted into the wire metal frame, as well as the logos on the ear stems. They're big and deep enough on the ear stems to have a nice contrast, so that the logo could be seen from a distance. I love the True Metal Icons on other frames, but I don't think it would've worked on the Wardens.

The olive frames look really great. I was worried that they would be more of a lightish Army-type Olive Drab color, but Oakley's olive finish is more of a cross between Olive Drab and Gunmetal; not overly green but green enough to be noticed. Also, the finish of the metal is really nice; there's a slightly brushed metal quality to it, and with a slight metal sheen. I hope they incorporate this color finish with other Wire frames.

This is the first time I'm getting Oakley lenses without any Iridium coating, it seems to me that the grey lenses aren't that good for glare compared to the Black Iridium. However, they aren't overly dark; the lenses are neutral and colors retain true. they also work well for both strong and weak sun. The lack of an Iridium coating makes them less flashy, but the understated look goes well with the Aviator style.

The frames are really light and comfortable... and B-I-G! The lenses are substantially bigger than the next biggest Wire frames, the Big Square Wire. If you have a smallish face, they wouldn't work for you. Even with my big head they still look slightly cartoonish. I think Oakley could've slimmed down the lenses height wise just a tad, and less of a teardrop style since light seeps in between the sides of my nose and the frames. Since this was Oakley's rendition of the classic Aviator, they could've modified it just a bit more. The frames are easily bendable though, with a slightly flimsy feel, so they would need a bit more caution than other Wire models. So far I've never had the lenses pop out on me... The red microfiber bag is a nice touch after the sea of black bags within my collection.

For what it's worth, the Wardens are not expensive. Also the fact that they're limited editions wouldn't stop me from getting another color.

Frame: polished gold
Lens: vr28 gold

just got these into our shop with some other from the heavystretch line (fat cats, monster dog/doggle, big squares, ect...) I love them. they fit awesome and are pretty light for how big and flashy they are. I've got two pair coming for me. if you want a pair don't hesitate, according to the people I've spoken with at Oakley they are a limited edition. so get yours fast!

Frame: Olive
Lens: Grey

I bought a pair of these hoping to god they weren't going to feel like a traditional Rayban aviators and be slightly smaller. They are made for a larger head (and I wear Monster Dogs which are not small). Nosepieces are half the size of normal wires and uncomfortable, tight. The frame itself isn't super sturdy. The lenses were popped out when they arrived. It just doesn't feel like an overly great Oakley product.
