Frame: Stainless Steel
I've wanted one of these for so long and when I saw one at the Vault for $150, I jumped on it. My wife even helped chip in. There's little else besides a minute and hour hand, but being used to the Time Bomb, I didn't expect as much. The design is simply awesome and a remnant of the unobtainium strap days. I don't have the reported problem of being poked by the end, so it fits nice and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Everyone says: Wow! when they see my Torpedo.
What can you say, only on the arm of an Oakley fan...

Wow, I had never even heard of this until I was trolling eBay for anything and everything Oakley. You can find some cool stuff that way. Anyway, holy crap awesome! It's so unique that the only way I'd be able to find the proper words to describe how stoked I am for it, would be to sit down with a thesaurus for a good long time. I plan on wearing it frequently, and I have a hunch I'm going to get a lot of comments about it. It's definitely worth picking up, if you find one.
One of the best features is the way the band is made. There are ridges under the face/frame, and holes cut into the underside of the band. These prevent the watch from slipping around your wrist. This is one of those things that's neither a deal maker or breaker, but I wish this feature was on every watch that I own...

Face: Blue
Great looking, crazy styling, but be careful it can hurt your wrist/hand. I almost drove it into my carpals/metacarpals. Nonetheless, looks very cool, lives up to the Torpedo name.
Yellow Face
Truly radical design that looks super cool with casual wear. Swiss Made (assembled in Switzerland), unlike the Crush, which only has Japan Movement. The ends don't poke my wrists much. Design-wise gets a 5 from me, but because there's no second-hand, the "usual" 2-sec jump low-battery indicator is not available. So, might make you miss an appointment should the battery die at the "wrong" appointed time.
This one gets a 4 for sentimental reasons, otherwise it would be a 3. I wanted one ever since they were released (alongside Bullet and Crush), and got the best colour IMO, yellow.
An amazing design sells this piece. The drawbacks are the absence of a date window and a second hand, though the design may not lend itself easily to either. It just looks crazy.
This watch is heavy, by the way and feels substantial. It's not hard to read, I thought it might have been. Also, the ends don't poke me, your experience may be different.
Yellow face,....Out of my 5 oakley watches i wear this one the least, its a kind of casual hanging about t shirt watch if you get my drift,i love the concave saphire glass, yes the face is a bit small though the watch itself is quite big....still wouldnt be without it!

Definately an odd watch. It is very good quality, and has quite a bit of heft to it. The side of the watch does dig into my hand when my hand is at a right angle, which is painful after time. The hands can be hard to see. Also, the hands are not luminous, so you cannot see them at night. Overall, I rate this watch a 3/5. Good concept, mid-grade execution.
Stainless Steel/Blue
A work of art before a watch. every bit Oakley
Very comfortable though you would not think so.
Very rarely worn by me, but the wife loves it and wears it.
I enjoy listening to the comments, From "wow" to "wierd"
No date, but as you can barely see the time, a date feature would be invisible. a 5 for design audacity. though functionality would be a 3, overall a 4

the Torpedo is not one of those watches one can wear everyday... it's just so unique looking. i get all sorts of comments when i wear it, ranging from "that's pretty weird looking thing on your wrist" to "that's an awesome looking watch!" the Yellow face looks great with the Stainless Steel Casing. the face itself is a very shallow oval shape, resulting in short watch hands, making it difficult to see the time around the 3 and 9 areas. also, a date readout is sorely missing. however, the Torpedo is a work of art and design, it's so unique no one else would have anything looking remotely close to it.
It's amazing that such seemingly odd shapes can still be so comfortable but then that's Oakley in a nutshell
Frame: Stainless Steel
Face: All 3 colors
They just recently got discontinued so I bought all 3 colors. This is amazing design with the Oakley fascia. The only problem with it is that sometimes it is so damn hard to see the time bec it's so small but who cares it's for display
