Frame: Black
Lens: Gold Iridium
Love my Racing Jackets. I am a runner, but I do a little biking as well, and the Racing Jackets are my glasses of choice as far as athletic activities go. The Gold Iridium lenses are, in my opinion, one of the best oakley makes. The Ram-air surge ports do actuly keep the lenses from fogging up to certain extent, although when it comes to the lenses getting smuged with sweat, your on your own. The frame wraps firmly around my face better than any of my other oakleys, and the unibatainium nosebombs add to the traction. One con that could also be considered a pro is the hingless earstems. Overall these are great glasses

The Racing Jackets have an interesting design. They do not hinge, and therefore cannot be folded up and placed anywhere neatly. They are meant for bike racing exclusively, so this feature isn't a problem unless you wear them elsewhere. I find it's hard to bring them places because of the lack of convenience, but as glasses they are pretty nice. The +Red makes everything a bluish tint, and is good for bright light and some darker areas, but not indoors or past evening. The frame sparkles slightly if you look close enough, and has vents to keep the lens from fogging up. However, I found these to actually fog up the most unless you're moving constantly.

Frame: New Blue
Lens: +Red Iridium

Although I'll probably never own a pair of Racing Jackets, I must give credit where it's due. Similar to the Pro M Frames, the Racing Jackets incorporate a secure, one-piece frame with Oakley's three-point fit, resulting in a rigid yet stable pair of eyewear. The frame contours are sleek, smooth, aerodynamic, and aesthetically appealing to the eye - especially with the built-in "air flow ports". New Blue with +Red Iridium further showcases one of the most heralded color combos ever in this pair.

If only Oakley had made these in an "S" (small) version, I would have bought a truckload.

Frame: jet black
Lens: black Iridium

I first bought its for my brother. He used them mainly for mountain biking, but he finally offered me back his pair because he didn't use them anymore. They have been a lot used, not to say abused. When I got them back, the lens were full of dirt, and once I cleaned that up, the inside of the lens was totally scratched. As I've not been able to find some replacement lens, I kept them as they were.
Since then, I've been using them for cycling, running, paragliding and sometimes, just for everyday activity. I admit that they do there job very well. The holes in the frame which I suppose are done for preventing the fog from appearing are functional as far as you are in movement, but if you stop moving, fog begins to appear. The lack of hinge make the frame not very practical to put in a bag, but it also gives the frame an awesome fit. The big Unobtainium ear-socks ensure a perfect grip and they will never get off from your face unless you decide it.
Compared to the M-Frame, the field of view is not as good, but they still have a very good covering and an optimal clarity.

Beside the practical aspects, the racing jacket are just awesome concerning their design. The global design added to the holes in the frame make them look a bit aggressive. That said, they will not be the best glasses for an everyday activity pair if you like to keep discreet, and you'll reserve its for sports only.

these frames were huge!!! superb coverage especially in the blazing sun. great for beach volleyball, sailing, not just cycling. v lightweight so u don't remember u have them on. would be much better if they came with vented lens like the water jacket. only problem is the fmj frames tend to discolor so they now look silvery bronze.

I really like these.

They look nicer than the actual mframe, fit awesome, are light and cheap.

My nr.1 is still the old mframe - but these are really close, nr.2 in the sports field.

The only neg point: I HATE THE NOSEBRIDGE "OAKLEY"-SIGN. But fortunately the newer RJ's don't have these anymore.

This is an awesome pair of shades. I didn't know how well they would fit me but they fit so good and are so comfortable and light. The style is so awesome too. I love the red frame. It is just so bold and stands out.

I bought these for MTB, use them for all athletics, and even wear them about for your average everyday. They have a great wraparound and filter out the sun and glare better than any of my other Oakleys. I love them, and get comments about the coolness of 'em at Starbucks. How can ya beat that? Very lightweight. They have a great "too cool for school" factor as well, and are handy for mornings-after hiding of shall we say, nights of fun, i.e. hangovers. They do smudge easily, but that would be the nitpickiest of gripes. Boss glasses.

To clarify the previous poster's review, you CAN get polarized lenses for the Racing Jacket. The polarized options are listed as Water Jacket Lenses.

Frame: Dark Grey
Lens: G30

Got these to wear out on the water, while the fit/coverage is good, the G30 non-polar lenses are not very effective at cutting out reflected glare. It's a shame(and surprising) that there aren't any polarized lens options for the RJ. Styling is 'extreme' for sure and the non-folding arms mean they'll take up plenty of precious display space, if that's where they end up.

This is a great athletic eyewear piece. The exhaust ports were a brilliant idea by Oakley. They keep the lenses from fogging up and are great for all kinds of sports. I use mine for riding my bike to playing softball.

Frame: FMJ 5.56
Lens: GOLD IRIDIUM

I had these BTO from oakley, the silver with gold is very striking. I have had these for about 5 years and absolutely love them. Everyone takes a second look, and I love when the young kids say cool glasses! The optics are incredible, the fit is great and the look amazing. With a larger face and high nose bridge, these were one pair that fit my face well. If you like to stand out in a crowd, these will do it!

Frame: FMJ Platinum

I got rid of my original one because it was too big then I finally got the smaller version with Blue/ black then I swapped it with a vented VR28 and put the Slash kit to make it look like a water jacket. You need this for jet skiing and high speed activities. It has lots of vented holes which also shapes like an O..real cool!

Frame: Platinum

A dedicated sports sunglass not really meant to be worn around town but along with the Pro M Frame they are unsurpassed for any athlete.
Just wonder how many sports men and women have won first prize/gold medals etc wearing these?

Frame: FMJ Platinum & FMJ 5.56
Lens: Gold & Black

Again, for what these are, Racing Jackets are great! A hinge-less frame design certainly comes with some bulkiness and convenience issues (no more so than overthetop). However, the overall vented frame look is sleek and sharp! Superb for sports! Full coverage to keep sunlight from sneaking in the sides, great field of vision.

Frame: Dark Chrome
Lens: G30 Persimmon
These are perfect for everykind of sport. I use them just for my roadbike or MTB. Perfect fit, comfortable. Also the Dark Chrome frame color combi is one of the best I have ever seen. The lenses are also cool...nice for cloudy conditions.
