I have a few of these, and must say that although the "Bomb Box" could have been engineered slightly differently (as others have so eloquently pointed out), it still serves its purpose well. The case itself looks like a cube housing a detonation device and keeps your Bomb secure. What better way to display Oakley's premier timepiece?
cool vault but the top is too big and you have to be very careful picking it up because odds are it will open on you and your swiss made time piece will go crashing to the ground, but its a must for a timebomb
These are my favorite vaults that Oakley has made. I own quite a few of them and love them all. They are just beautiful to look at! A definite conversation starter.
I finally got one these with my second Icon watch and I couldn't be happier about it. This thing is so cool. My only problem with it, as others have pointed out, is it's top-heaviness. Nonetheless, only Oakley would come up with a case so remarkable that alone I've seen go for $100+ on eBay. I hope Dann doesn't mind if I bite his style and use it to propose my future wife just like he did. In the meantime, I think that I'll just use it to store whichever Icon I'm not wearing that day...and maybe my drugs...just kidding.
I am not a huge fan of this vault. It looks cool and all that, but I am not a fan of the 1/3 - 2/3 split between top and bottom. It becomes a tad top-heavy when open and it takes up a lot of room when opened. You have to be cautious when lifting it because, if you are like me, the tendency to grab the larger 2/3 top portion will result in the bottom falling out and your watch will pay the price. I find the satin stuffing a bit cheesey and way to big and bulky. I think a little more engineering should have gone into this case. I would definitely not recommend paying more than $25 for one. In fact, grab yourself a watch block display stand and a soft watch vault and you will be way better off.
This thing is awesome. I don't know if I would of been quick to pull the trigger on the time bomb if this case wasn't included. Its very sturdy and similar to the Vault cases.
now all you need is a combination lock on it and your set. love the watch
An awesome box for the best watch on Earth.
