I've had these in multiple pairs of goggles over the years (currently in a pair of Splice). They are hands down the best low-light lens ever for snow uses. Weather here is often overcast (reason we get so much snow) and these do a great job of increasing contrast.

aside: I find myself laughing at the people who complain about using them at night for fashion reasons...might want to consider not wearing glasses when it's dark.

If you ski/board while it's snowing, these will be a great addition.

If H.I. Persimmon seems too boring, H.I. Yellow may suit you better. With a bright yellow base and a Blue Iridium coating, this lens shines with aura that few other lens options possess. While these lenses function well for low-light conditions, they become a liability in bright light.

absoloutely the lens u want if u wanna get a headache lol! driving at night with it does get me abit dizzy but if ur not really moving around like if ur in a drive in movie and still wanna sport the O, then I dont get the occational head throbbing

They look nice, but like all of the clear lenses you'll probably wear them on dark days or at night.

But if you wear them at night you'll expect that every source of light gets 2 additional sisters... it feels as if you cleared two or three bottles of wodka.

So - why should someone need a clear lense that makes you feel drunk ?!

I still prefer persimmon as low/no-light lense and emerald slate as low light lense with iridium coating.

Lovely lenses, I use them for night driving - also useful when you want to cheer yourself up - make everything seem that little bit brighter!

- XX Twenty Jet Black/H.I. Blue -

This lens came as a big surprise to me. I use them at every opportunity. These are definitely a 5.

So, right up front - got these on Ebay. Not for the lenses, but for the Twenty frame they came in. I immediately wrote them off as soon as I purchased them because I had yet to receive a set of lenses off the bay that weren't already destroyed no matter what the description said.

These came nearly flawless and I was shocked. Immediately put them to use and I was really glad I did. I use them for inclimate driving, particularly on dark and stormy days, heavy overcast, etc. On those days everything goes from dark & dreary to Baghdad Sunny! Looks more like a duststorm than a rainstorm especially when I can see the dreariness in my peripheral. So much so that I tend to forget to turn my headlights on for the other drivers!

The Blue Iridium does give off a bit of a 3D effect that is more noticable during night driving; this keeps me from using them at night as the effect tends to offset any benefit of contrast. The 3D effect is noticable during inclimate days as well but only slightly so and doesn't bother me at all.

In terms of looks, I simply don't care - they work far too well for me to be concerned with how I look while wearing them. I guess if I look goofy, I bet I look goofy and HAPPY!

Not for during the day, obviously. This lens can most likely be described as the equal and opposite of the Black Iridium - doesn't block ANY light; rather it is the most contrasting of the contrast lenses and thus enhances EVERYTHING. Probably would be better off wearing nothing at all than the H.I. Blue during a sunny day!

Bottom line ... love this lens. it is by far my favorite, albeit only useful during certain conditions. Still, I wish this lens was available for every frame.

One of my favorite lenses! The contrast is extreme!! And after 1-2 minutes of wearing them your eyes get used to this new level of light and everything looks boring when you take them off again. The blue mirror on top of the lenses looks very classy too, so apart from some ghosting troubles theese lenses are addictive. Instant sunshine and light therapy!

Are you depressed? Is your life gloomy? Slide on the instant sunshine of H.I. Blue & Brighten any day! After you eyes get used to this level of enhanced vision, everything looks dull by comparison through your own eyes.

Nice Blue reflective coating on the outside of this lens gives it a special touch to look at,and it is an overall excellent lens to look through on very dark, overcast days, and even in the evening.

i have a square wire with this lenscolour , which is one of those eyewearpieces to never leave my car. unmissable whil driving rain , fog , lowlight-conditions. I actually wore this one on the day of my wedding ( december 27 ) because of bad weather...

An excellent low-light lens, the Blue Iridium coating give these an extra visual kick over the regular H.I. Yellow lens. Despite the Iridium, your eyes are still very visible but it probably doesn't matter since they're perfect for brightening up grey, overcast days and early evenings.

I have this on my Wisdom goggles. I would say not the best out there except on really gloomy days on the snow. I did not get a lot of contrast going down the slopes. The lens is just really nice to look at

I have this lens in both glasses and goggle form, and even though they are supposedly slightly different, you get the same effect. Everything is very bright and very yellow. Very nice shade for night driving.

I actually use these when I drive on the highway at night. Around town, I wouldn't, but it helps to reduce eye fatigue from headlights in your mirrors, and road glare. When it's really cloudy, I guess you could use them outside. I played a game of racquetball with these on at the gym, and found the yellow lens to really brighten up the flat light.

great lenses! i wear these on gloomy, overcast days and they really brighten up your world. the Blue Iridium coating look really interesting with the yellow tint.

A must if you live in a place that has a lot of gloomy weather. On an overcast day, the yellow tint makes it seem like the sun is out. Good for the mood, and it increases contrast and depth perception, too.

Great lens.
you get alot of contrast with this lens, despite the name you dont get alot of blue with this lens.
when looking at the front of the lens you see the blue coating very clearly but it is very hard to tell once you a wearing them.
great for golf and skiing in flat light,
but I would use these as more of an indoor lens.

Just bought this lens in half jacket XLJ. It's a perfect lens for night time outdoor sports, softball, baseball, ect. Highly recommended and encourage anyone to try it out.

H.I. Blue, named for the reflective coating, not the lens tint, really does a good job making your entire frame of vision brightened up. I wear these at night on my bike and never have a problem. I thought the Titanium clear lenses would be best for nighttime, but those are only 54% light transmission, and these are 86%, plus the yellow tint increases the contrast. They are difficult to wear when it's sunny because everything becomes too bright, but when it's overcast or evening to night, they are perfect. Unfortunately there aren't any models of glasses left using it, only goggles. You may be able to track down the Square Wires or Fours which I recommend as well.
