Dita's are very well made. You put em on, and they just fit. Even with titanium nosepads, they're pretty comfy.

You may need a watch tool to take the links out. If that's not an option, you could try using another pin and ball-peen hammer? Maybe tap the pin halfway, and pull it out with pliers. The pins can bend upon re-inserting them. Upon further review, maybe bring it into the nearest O Store/Vault or jeweler. hahah

At the end of the day, it's still retail. Some stores have a higher turnover, while others don't. Just because someone has the knowledge, it doesn't mean they can make that sale. In the long run, it all comes down to money. :|

Honestly, he may have not known. Marketing doesn't always know what's going on with reps, reps don't know what's going on in O stores, and O stores don't know what's going on with the website, etc. The different channels may or may not have info on what each other's doing.
