lol nice score dude! talk about a bargain...!
i have the collector mentality just not the bank balance to support it...! hence if i dont love it, it goes... but yes i might keep the Plates! Had to let the Romeos go, i look like a tool... too much money to invest in something i dont get on with! im no Tom Cruise it seems lol

Yeah i saw the Tortoise Dartboards pop up on 3bay the other day, still there i think...
@Paul J, just happened to hit lucky on a few pairs that i wanted to try but haven't had the chance/funds to purchase before. they will probably end up for sale again because a lot of models don't suit me! always wanted to try Plates and picked these up for a song but i think they will look too small on me when they arrive, Oil Rigs again always fancied trying but i generally don't do shield lenses, must admit tho i may hold on to these... the Romeos i just dont know, i had a pair before but decided i didnt like the fit or the look so sold them when i got short of cash, but then i wished i hadnt... picked these up to satisfy that wish but again, i just don't seem to get on with them. i do prefer them in this colorway tho, but im yet to be persuaded to keep them... it's just what i do i guess, this way i always have new pairs to wear but only keep the best for my collection!

Eyewear Outlet had TinTins for 70 quid too last time i looked.
new purchases for me this week so far are: 24k Plates, Romeo 1s X-Metal/Black, Oil Rig 2.0 Polished Rootbeer/Bronze Polar, and SI Gascan Deserts. but will probably sell everything bar the Gascans which will be getting pinstriped and 3D lenses...! oh and the mrs has bought me a brand new Time Bomb #000137 but im not allowed that until my 30th birthday... :(

thanks for the input guys, the strap on this is the original one it came with, the dealer hasnt swapped it out, my thoughts are the same as yours, that it is an early gen 2 without the F serial that for some reason left the factory with a leftover forged bracelet instead of the new big clasp type. guess they were using up the last of the old stock bracelets! but thats just FINE by me as that makes it all the more unique and means that Dann has to rewrite the Timebomb serials definitions because of MY watch! the only other theory i had was that it was maybe a staff or promotional item that they didnt F mark, but i think staffers had no serials at all and a plastic box not a Vault. promos i have no idea. im going with the first theory of gen 1 to gen 2 changeover, at least until i find someone with a lower serial and a big clasp! thanks again guys

Hi guys, the mrs has bought me a brand new Time Bomb for my birthday but i'm stumped as to the serial/bracelet it has... just wanted to authenticate it before she hides it away until my 30th! i don't want to go snooping and check it out myself, but i'm aware that if there's a problem with it it will need to be dealt with/returned fairly soon rather than in a couple of months time!
Its X-Metal/White and has the gen 1 style forged band with the original small integrated clasp, which i always believed came with a ######F serial...? But the serial on this is 000137... no F...
So what the hell is this thing? it's coming from a shop in the Channel Islands where it has been ever since Oakley sent them it as a retailer, along with an X-Metal/Ti and an X-Metal/Carbon, serialed 001383 and 001171 and again both with gen 1 forged bands and no F's...
Obviously i have considered the horrifying possibility that it is a fake, but the seller is reputable, it comes in the correct big aluminium Vault with the correct engraving in the top, with the correct black cardboard outer box with the artistic photo of a Time Bomb on the top, the box has the correct seal sticker, the watch itself has the correct engraving other than the serial around the viewing window, and it has the correct hands. So from what i can see from an admittedly non-expert O watch newbie perspective, it looks legit... apart from the serial...
Anyone shed any light...?
Thanks!

Recently i destroyed my favourite driving pair of polar Flak Jackets on a concrete beam whilst they were head mounted, now they are useless and so i am forced to wear some of my customs to commute to work every day... not happy about it.
And i dunno if its just me, but does anyone else get that kinda feeling wearing Elites that you really want to wear them, but you kinda dont want to at the same time...?

Unfortunately Harry yes the OakleyForum can be like that at times.... always a minority, don't get me wrong, but open membership to forums always attracts all sorts, it's too easy to just sign up with a new username if you get canned, not that the mods there ever can anyone to my knowledge... think i'd have suspended both the fools banging it out in that thread....
Would love either of the new 24ks looking at them, shame they are going to be limited run, chances of me landing a pair are going to be virtually zero :( just imagine 24k Julies with a 24k lens swap..... it's making me moist just thinking about it lol

....when someone asks you how many pairs you have, you look down at your feet and mumble an reply....
....or when you realise you carry more stock than your local O store....
....or when you find yourself leaving the house in the morning packing 3 or 4 pairs into your manbag "because you never know"....
....and then at the end of the day when you realise you've worn 7 pairs in one day....and it doesn't seem excessive....

Rxsport in Peterborough do all my prescription work, expensive on their website but if you ring em they'll price match and can hook you up with the impossible if you talk to James the gaffer! last pair they made me were custom clear rx x-squareds for less than the rrp of any regular combo, awesome
