Mine just came in today...sorry for the less than stellar iPhone picture.

First impressions: They are as comfortable (maybe more) than the Jawbones, but have a smaller profile that makes them quite a bit more suitable for wear off the bike (at least for my application).

The lower jaw design is identical to the Jawbones, and swapping lenses is a breeze. I ended up with the matte black/black iridium and VR50 pair, and I'm glad I went this route. These are going to be VERY nice when accessory lenses are available. I'm going to play around tonight and swap out the matte black thru bolts with some silver ones from a pair of Jawbones.

And when these go to OCP.....oh yeah, baby. :)

Congrats man!

The polarized pair I want still has a 3-4 week ship date. Hoping to find them in Vegas next week though.

Glad to hear you like them!

Pretty nice! For being sport frames, those look like they are very wearable, just like the Flak Jackets.

Finally got to see and try on a couple of pairs of Split Jackets today. WOW, the fit is amazing on my face. The Infrared and Matte Black are off the charts cool. Wish they came with a better selection of lenses though. Gonna wait a bit to see what pops up on OCP.

I am very pleased with the fit and the look of Split Jacket. I really like the combination of Switchlock tech with a sleek shape taking cues from Straight Jacket and Monster Dog.

A couple questions for those "in the know"...

1. What is the difference between the regular and Asian Fit versions? The nice folks at the local O-Store were kind enough to let me try a standard fit frame with the large nosepieces (and had a heck of a time swapping them out). It actually fit quite well (the large nosepieces are HUGE), but I wasn't sure if the Asian Fit would be a further improvement.

2. When is Split Jacket scheduled to be available in Custom?

Eddy,
If it follows in the mold of the other Asian Fit Glasses, it's going to be a bit wider and flatter.

I'm blessed with not having the stereotypical Asian head shape. Thus I can wear a a good amount of O products without having to worry about my cheekbones being too high, or my head being too wide for the frame.

With things like Radar's and Flacks, I prefer having the larger nose pieces in place and that keeps the frames off my cheekbones.

My wife has a more stereo typical Asian face with large cheekbones and a "squarer" head. Very little O fits her except for asian fit stuff, or items that you can put larger nose pieces on. Even then, her Enduring might need to get swapped out for an asian fit since they do fit better.

I'd say if your cheekbones are still pushing up on the glasses when you smile, then the asian fit is going to work better for you. May not work better for your wallet- I'm still bitter that they cost more.....

David,

Thanks for the input. My main problem is a flat nose, so most of the time I can get away with just larger nosepieces (Flak, HJ, Radar). I have tried AF models that actually fit worse than their standard counterparts. For example, regular Gascan has a deep enough nose bridge that it just fits. AF Gascan is too wide and flat across the front for my face.

I wish O would make it more clear as to what specifically is unique for each Asian Fit model. Sometimes it's just larger nosepieces, other times it's that and less frame curvature. Unfortunately, since most stores (even O-Stores) don't stock AF, it is difficult to do a side-by-side comparison.

I was just hoping to have some idea before I plunk down money on a pair.
