I'd say Veteran is about all I could ever hope for. I know more than the average bear, but not enough to get paid for my knowledge. :D

What really pains me is when I see a collection like Josh's. The stuff he has makes me feel like my collection and knowledge are those of a retarded child.

As long as I can tell which pairs are which at a glance, I'll be happy.

I'd probably be up around a 4 or 5 if I was local to HQ and all the employees knew my name. LOL, lucky buggar!

I would say I'm a low 4. Back in the late 90's probably a 3. I had dial up, and I would spend hours on O.com and loved to read (and memorize) the descriptions of products. I loved the way they could describe a rock and make it sound like a platinum brick.

I learned much more after I found this site. I didn't know some of the past history of models and variations.

I think I'd fall somewhere in the 1-2 range. I know more than the average person, but my knowledge pales in comparison to most of the members here.

I would probably rank myself a 2. I gotta save some room in the cranium for sports stats and song lyrics...!!!

I'll go 2. Not much is retained when I have a DB to referr back to.

They say, as a general rule, if you focus on one thing for 7 years. you become an expert.

I have to assume that rule is not judged by your peers but by the average public that isn't focused on your particular area.

I would pretty much say Im around 4. :-)

Working with Oakley on a daily base gives a good insight on the products. Sometimes I still stumble across models I cant recognize; meaning im not a 5. :-)

If I am in doubt I normally ask Mr. Thombs himself, I would therefore rank him 5 of course.

Ah, but I've been slipping with the recent releases. I was horrified when I went to a SGH and didn't know what the Tightrope was.
