How can I tell if the AP Vest I just purchased was a "Real" second run of the vests?

Are there signs I should be looking for? Telltale markings, etc.?

The paper tag is a "round" tag. That's throwing up SERIOUS red flags for me.

I noticed a bunch of these flooding ebay a month or so ago and I bought 2. One to use and one to save. Both are pretty darn small. I'm an XL and they fit like larges. Typical Oakley sizing?

There are are a few variations of the AP Vest, so it'd be hard to tell you if yours is the real deal or not. If you provide some pictures, we can do a more accurate assessment of what you have. One thing to look for is the zipper. If it's the kind that flops everywhere, there's a good chance you don't have a real one.

AP Vests typically fit smaller than the listed size, so that seems spot on.

I would have to guess that you are fine. They re-released them to O stores only for this spring. The tags have always been round, and they run small too. The new ones don't have the "O" velcro patch. Again it is hard to say for sure without seeing but I hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. I checked that other thread and it seemed to more about using the vest. Did Oakley ever make an XXL. I'm planning to wear this over my motorcycle jacket when I ride.

As for the zippers, they lock into place. I do have a bunch of pictures. Not sure where I can host them for you to take a look at. Would it be a posting faux pas to have 5 or 6 posts just with pictures?

your fine on that one that is pictured. They only did them in large and xl. Kinda sucks , they should have made a xxl for sure because the xl is kinda small for an xl.

i didn't even know there were fake ones being made. and what do people want with these vests? why are they soo popular, i have never seen anyone wearing them, the only person i could see wearing it is blade when he goes hunting for vampires

I wear Lulu Lemon when I'm hunting vampires. Easier to move.
