Don't know of this has ever been posted, but a while back I came across a site which archives a ton of websites throughout the years. Oakley is on it as well...

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.oakley.com

Site is slow at times...so be patient. Also, on the older ones there are a good amount of broken images and you really cannot navigate. Some work though...

So funny to see some of the designs, especially those older ones....

If it is a repost, please delete. If not, enjoy!

This could be a goldmine for getting images that the database lacks. We need to do a little poking around...

this is a sweet find, i remember back in 97 when i started to try and navigate the site, i still wish i loaded up on zeros while they still had them

and i like the older webpage a lot better, its just seems to have more meaning, now its just so commercial, back then it was all about the mad science and all the cool images of everything

good find man!!!!

Yeah, I posted this back on the old work server site, so it has been thoroughly plundered for pics for the DB.

Still nice for members who havent seen it before though.

wow, like stepping into a time-machine and go back to the good old days, when oakley was radical and industrial
and not owned by italians

The only problem, it that is saves just the small images, so you see one that looks promising, and the larger view never shows up. Plus it has to time out on all the broken images and makes it a little slow, but it's nice to get a glimpse of how things used to be.

I did a quick scan but couldn't find it. Does anybody remember a while ago maybe between 97-99 at some point that had a collectors page that had the Romeos listed by serial number and what their approx. values were. This sticks in my head because the R1s I bought when they came out (#1255) I believe were listed at like twice their purchace price (I think). I also remember that section of the siter was not up that long. Anybody else remember that?
