OK - Finally saw these. Not bad. A very cool finish for Oakley. The fit is loose compared with the crystal versions of the GasCan.
But, I did notice slight differences in the finish.

Some of the pairs I saw had shadow marks (looked like smudges)on the silver finish. That would not come out. I also saw a pair that had 2 different tones between the main frame, and one of the earstems. Kind of like when you paint metal, and fiberglass (Corvettes).
Some of the pairs I saw also had lighter applications of the brushed look to them. Meaning you can see through some of the brushed finish, to a slight green from the next layer coming through.
This was especially noticable on the edges from the front to the back near the nose area, and some of the areas near the the bottom edges of the front of the frame leading around to the bottom of the inside.

If you want a good pair, I suggest you look at all these areas very carefully before you buy. The light has a lot to do with it to. Try to bring them into a bright light to inspect.

Other than that, once you have selected your pair, you now have a rare pair of Oakleys to show, and wear in front of your friends.

I would be surprised to see another pair on someone in my area, and I live in a largly populated are.

Ok, I know there has been some chatter about whether or not the Foose should be part of the Artist Series or the Signature Series... but is their production going to be unlimited?

Both the Chantry and the Francis appeared to have been capped, but why is the Foose so much different?

I'm not complaining, just thinking out loud (through silent text).

Received my Foose yesterday. My excitement soon turned to sadness though. The people at my mail forwarding service threw away the bloody box and sent them with the bag only. When I got over that intial shock things got even worse when I saw a glob of green paint on the left-side hinge. Just terrible quality control on Oakley's part. I have another one on order, but this was serial #0073 and the replacement will most probably come without. I might try to do an arm swap, but what a bunch of crap.

Can you believe the idiot would chuck my box?

My thanks go to Oogie and Longshot for helping me out with all of this. It's good to have solid people behind you.

Yeah, I have no idea why anyone would throw away a box, especially at this time of year. I think most reasonable people would think that keeping the box would be great, since it's easier to wrap X-mas presents.

Hope, at the very least, Oakley can send you a replacement under warrantee, Rick.

Goes to show you that Quality some of the time, is not one of Oakleys goals. In my day, I have been very surprised what I have seen, be it online orders, or just the frames in retails stores, including O stores. It is always associated with the newer product.

Well, the Foose is supposed to see release here in Japan on January the 8th so hopefully I can avoid having to send them to the States and just have the staff at Oakley Japan replace them along with a deep bow.
