I just got this pair of Dk Grey HJ's a few weeks ago--brand new in the box and I am already noticing a crack starting to form on the inside of the frame near the nose bridge. Do you think Oakley will send me a replacement pair? Dk grey is not a color that is painted on, is it? When I bend the frame a little, the crack seems to open up a little--dosen't look like it is painted. Anyway, I should probably send them to HQ. Do I need to put anything in the box besides the frames? What do you guys think? Have you seen anything like this before? Is it just a rare occurence?

Thse things happens from time to time, it just sucks when it happen to you, send them back, I am pretty sure Oakley will replace the frame, as it looks to be a fabrication problem on that pair.

O Matter on sports pairs like Half Jackets and M Frames is suppose to bend a lot, so that's not normal. Best try and get warranty on the case.

Wow, I thought HJ's could withstand anything. I would send it back to Oakley, give them a call and let them know first so they'll be expecting something.

Like they say, definitely send them back to Oakley for warranty replacement. I can't imagine you would encounter too much of a hassle from them.

I also broke a pair of the Dark Grey ones last week changing lens. Mind you, I have changed out 100's of half jacket lens and this was the only one that has ever broke. And I had to really tweek some. This one just snapped.

My guess is there was a batch of these that have a problem.

DEFINATELY a warranty issue that O will take care of. :)

The picture color is screwy, but it is Dark Grey and near the same place yours broke.

Wow! Thanks for all the great responses in such a short time. I knew I could count on all of you for support in my time of need. I really appreciate it. And yes, Tick, I do need lotion awfully bad--thanks for pointing that out.

I didnt know half jackets could break like that. I have a beater pair that I twirl around and twist around to show people that they wouldnt break no matter how much abuse it takes. I guess there are a few lemons
