OK this is less a question and more of an observation. Why is it that you can't get both of these in custom with the same lense options? I thought gascan and thump 2 lenses were exactly the same. Why then can I not get HI blue in gascan? Just kind of strange in my mind if they're both available for one but not the other.

I think they're not exactly identical, but work, or O just classifies them that way. I have T2 lenses a GC just as many others do. If you do your OCE in an O-Store then it's prob more an option to swap them before the fact.

If you only look at the shape: they are exactly the same. Optically I wouldn't know. I switched a pair earlier today and it fits like a glove so to speak. I find it very funny aswell that they do not share these colors.

I've been using my Ti Clear Thump 2 lenses in my Gascan and my Ruby Clear lenses in my Thump 2 and both ways seemed to be looking just fine. My advice: swap away!

I was thinkin' matte white GC's with HI blue lenses and blue Icon....

If you do OCE Gascan at a vault you can get H.I. Yellow, G30 Ti, and VR50 as a choice if they have them in stock.

Problem is you can't customize your Icon.

Sure you can. It's online that you can swap them and should be at o-stores for OCE too. Blue and Red are options for the GC and fit the T2 as well.

Can't customize icons at our stores. I'm pretty sure they won't be doing it at O-stores either (you can order them that way, but they ship from HQ, like custom-etched stuff)

I believe you are able to, but the store itself has to purchase the Icons from corporate (ie put a deposit down.)

Neil is right, anything above and beyond the standard O Custom stuff of lenses and frames, ie icons, rubbers, etching, can be ordered at O stores, but they have to be shipped from corporate. All the O stores can do is the basic stuff.

Or you mean you can't change rubbers as part of OCP, so there's an extra charge?

Extra charge. And technically we're supposed to tell the customers any frame modifications, including customizing rubbers, voids the frame warranty, unless it's done under custom O.

yea its a pretty sweet fit, i put the fire in my thump 2 and wow its awesome ppl notice the lens then the mp3 and they wonder.(hehehe) if i have x-ray vision. i've been askd that like 4 or 5 times its so funny
