I was wondering if there was any news of a possiblility of a new zero series, or maybe a replacement design concept,(besides the dartboard thing). I have always been a fan of the designs, and the crazyness of them.

So far, no. There were lot's of wishes for a Sub Zero reissue when the RazorBlade returned, but not much more. I'd say they'll revisit it sooner or later.

We just had a new Zero series.

The massive lack of interest will probably discourage another one.

And you even got a Zero L...which is so wrong.

I would imagine that they'd come back to them once the fashion line buzz dies down.

Oakley always rolls out in series. Like the O-matter craze with the minutes, XX's, EJ's, and so on. They'll come back to it for sure though. Its their heritage...and I mean, come on, how many freaking names can Oakley use?

well i have 4 pending.

1 goldclear

1 blk irid

2 zero L

and that is just for display..

zero are cool in one way.

i don't think there will be for the coming year a new zero.

I think with the Zero series Oakley really missed the mark in recent years. They had something really special with the hard lines and unique lense shapes. The whole organic flowing lines works fine for o-matter X-metal etc, but the Zero line looked so unique and out of this world. Now they just look... Ugly.
Exhibit A:

This is just my opinion, but I don't know of anyone that would say the new Zeros are as nice as the old ones.

Frankly (and I know a lot of you will find this upsetting) I never liked the old one either.

I can't say that the old zero's looked good, but they were totally Oakley, and thats why I think theyre valued so much today now that theyre vintage.

Well I think that the original subzero and the first "zero" releases were the best, i agree; but i do admire the old style "esk" look of the zero l,.. its odd styling that is what makes the zero series what it was, and hopfully will be again. I want a "new subzero" release. Or maybe a "0.1 - 0.5" re release. please?!?!?!?

If they made a lightweight O-Matter frame like the older Zeros, but made it sit close to your face (ie NO M-frame nosepieces), I'd get one.

I had a 2nd gen zero, and sold it because they had a 1/2 inch gap from my face. worst fitting Oakely's I've ever tried.

the current zero series is still pretty new so i guess we won't seeing a new series any time soon. hoping for some new colorways though. Fire lens would be WOW! the zeros are pretty cool. but i wonder what they were thinking when they designed the zero L....

That's what I was thinking, they should have made more colourful lens options, more Iridium and such. This way the Zero would be more flashy and attractive to us O-nuts

glad to know someone shares my thoughts. Now let's hope pp in high places see our posts. i'm sure a range of colorful lenses wil boost the popularity of the zeros. Fire iridium ice iridium +red emerald iridium are the ones that immediately come to mind. White earstems would be cool. Maybe they could market zeros as another customizable range like the half jackets. Build ur own with an array of lenses earstems and nose bombs. C'mon Zeros owners and enthusiasts, let's hear from you.

I loved the old one.. i had a Zero 0.4s before I got my Juliets. They were light and they were comfortable.

The new ones... they feel very flimsy and cheap. It's ugly too ...

My favourite color combo is the cobalt frame with +Red lenses...

For real? I don't have any on hand but think the current Zero is a huge improvement over the last iteration and feels much more robust. Looks better too.

I think the new Zero is one of the more functional models of the lineup. At least the Ducati and the Zero S are anyway. I find it enhances vision while doing physical activities better compared to the Subzeros and old Zeros.

I figured that if the Dartboard wasn't around, the Zero would be seen as more unique in the Oakley lineup. Their basic shape is too similar.

Neil, there's a huge lack of interest in the new Zeros?

'Round these parts, definitely. I've probably sold fewer New Zeros in the last three years than any other model except Oil Drum.

marcel, we are probably the only two people who love the zero L. I hope I read your post right. otherwise I will feel really stupid, cause I would be the only one. I think the L could use etching like the originals, bad sightly sharper edging, but I still think it has that "subzero NEW" feel to it, as it is such an unconventional style.
