sssssshhhhhhhhhh.....don't tell. let everyone find out tomorrow and if it is, it is still Oakley so it's really not bad eyewear!!! If it were Arn*tt* or the likes, then yeah, I could say that, but we don't know. Never rain on an O collector's parade before it has taken place!! Be positive bro, if nothing else, it will be fun.

For those of you who went...was there a great abundance of certain types of eyewear, (ie o-matter or wires) and less of other types (ie x-metal or o-luminum) or was there a pretty good variety? What was the selection like? Was there a lot of eyewear to choose from? I may have to plan a trip to visit my Grandma (in Fullerton) for the one coming up in May. Thanks!

[Maybe I'll pick up a Riddle for her, lol]

The big question is, how many times was "The Secret Password" tossed around?

I went to the sale on saturday (as I always do) and was pretty impressed with the glasses selection. A lot better selection of "2nd quality eyewear" this time around and a seemingly much worse selection of first quality eyewear. I couldnt find a single pair of snow pants which I was a bit upset about and it seems the only shoes they were selling were SI boots (but for $40). My roommate wound up picking up a $250 timebomb (not the cheesy forged ones they had in the sales of yore) but a decent black stainless one that he had to wait an hour for cause they couldnt find him one (got a free pair of glasses out of it though). I wont say what I bought but its probably more than most of your entire collections.

I'm sure no one would be too upset if you told/showed us what you picked up, but it's definately up to you.

By the way, is there any chance you could tell someone with a lot less hookups than yourself some examples of prices of some of the eyewear and apparel at the PL sales? I've always been curious.

Thanks.

that's an excellent question Justin, i'm also curious of the prices at the PL sale. would be nice to know since i'm sure some people would be trying to make a profit on Ebay these coming few weeks.

The glasses are sold with the express warning that they are "not to be resold". But the prices are as follows:

2nd quality metal - $40
2nd quality plastic - $30
1st quality metal - $50
1st quality plastic - $40
Thumps - varied but about $100 off retail

The prices are standard regardless of style or color combo. The selection is typically older stuff or stuff that doesnt sell well. You used to see Mars there but not anymore and they have never had any other X-Metals there. Apparel typically varies between $5-$50 for anything ranging from t-shirts to snow jackets. Examples of some of the newer stuff I came across this time around are Montefrio, Oil Drum, Gas Can, Crosshairs.
