Being part of the Tokyo rat-race may have dulled my sense of humor, but I think there's still a smidgen left. (I hope)

If any end up in the wrong hands, I'll personally take care of it. I think a relative visibility on the forums should be a must in order to get it. It'll come down to a subjective view I guess, since member time can include he lurkers and a collection count can include scalpers too. I trust Bill to know who's who.

That sounds like it's straight out of a movie or something. I love it. Menacing and sincere. I have goosebumps.

Is O-Review Trademarked? If so who owns it. You have asked why isn't O-Review on the glass, that is a trademark issue. I own VUTT and all rights to it so it is simple for me to authorize O to put on glasses, they have my permission to duplicate such TM but O-review?
The site and name is Dann's and I created and possess the retro O-Review logo.

"We have such sights to show you", but more applicable if any should end up on Ebay "Your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell"

Technically it's trademarked the instant I create it, just not officially. But I sufficient proof that I created the site when I did, and other's shouldn't be using the name on a sig pair without approval.

Exactly what we thought Dann would you like us to not include the name on the label as well. We were thinking of putting "VUTT/O-Review Exclusive Five 3.0" on it but it can just as easily be taken off.

Your call really if it's just on the label. I'm cool with that if you are.

In my line of work after we create an identity or logo we're told to just place the TM after the logo when we create it / start using it and it holds up. Esp once it appears in print or online somewhere.

Are the Oakley lasers advanced enough to etch consecutive numbers next to the Vutt logo on each lens? Then we would know exactly which pair went to who. If so I want pair #59 to match my O-review member number

I have a feeling if this is going to fly, they're (Oakley) going to want to do a batch run and not customize each pair. Labels can be numbered though as Paul said.

I was just thinking if the laser had a setting that automatically clicked the next number up after each lens has been etched. Of course, any custom/ exclusive is OK with me.

1. Let me tell you something about the # of Oakley you own...
I live in Romania, where the average icome / person is aprox 250$.
So if I`m an average guy in Romania I can barelly buy 2 pairs / month, if I don`t drink, don`t eat, don`t pay the rent for a month + Oakley is more expensive here than in the States.

2. If some members sell their Rep Exclusive glasses which they got for free for a hilarious price, I don`t see why anyone of us couldn`t do the same. The difference is that we didn`t get these shades for free. (And you cannot sell something that you got for free, you can give it away for free, make a present, anything but never SELL!!! It`s just wrong.)
Don`t get me wrong!!! I`m not saying that I will want to sell my five 3.0, but these things inevitably happen...
You guys agree with me?

Yes Tommy, I do. We all know sooner or later it will likely happen but the majority of us have this sickness which is worse than crack it self, it is called collecting

Dont want to start a debate or anything, but the majority of members dont post that much, theres not just collectors here...

Anyway like Dann said; common sense will prevail I think.

The amount of what someone has is not a good way to tell how worthy an o-review member is, like Rick said, I know a lot of people with huge collections that dont participate, dont do reviews, post pics etc...

So, since I have more than 10 xmetals and 3 watches does that mean I can have more than one? ;)

Dann, I would also much rather have some of your items (splices, cough cough) than the large collection of juliets (9 - Rick, its a sickness!!!) that I have.

This thread looks to be gettin pretty heavy so I figured I'd throw in my 2c now as well.. for starters, this isn't the first attempt(correct me if I'm wrong) at organising an O-review exclusive pair. In fact I think it's been tried(and failed) several times before. Usually because of some technicality or since people just couldn't agree on specifics. I say, just go for it.. afterall this is gonna be the first(but I'm sure not the last) OR-exclusive, so why get so hung up on qualifications and criteria? I always assumed the OR was effectively built around mutual respect and good will(towards other members and the brand) so you would think that would be enough to ensure that there aren't(many) abuses. Obviously it's not gonna be perfect, but that's what it's like in the real-world and it'll be a shame if this one doesn't get off the ground because we're too busy trying to get it just right the first time.

If there had to be selection criteria, then I'd say the only realistic(and somewhat fair) measure would be time as a member and possibly overall ranking in terms of reviews, but even then you're far from the ideal and the last thing you want is to put-off new members by excluding them.

Ok, sorry.. that was more like 5c worth

Ha. Yeah, those numbers are a bit off.

Nope, it IS important to hit that mark 75 because its the number set by HQ in order to have the logo etching. So if we got 20 or so more members to chime in...
There is always the possibility that a few of us grab 2? I can see a few being in-store as a special "treat" for his buyers. As well as members who may find out about this late and want one after the fact if there were an extra or two sitting around.

As far as criteria goes though, why should anyone be excluded? (Yes, I can understand a few reasons) And even yet, why have criteria if we can't even hit the mark?
