it's true, grey is the most used lens, it's also i think a good pilot for some models. most models has grey in it.

but i reals was hooked on oakley for the black iridium lens.

my girlfriend loves it.

she has 3 of the 6 pair are grey.

I like the dark grey lens by Oakley because it reminds me of of old G-15 lens by Ray-Ban-----a very good all purpose lens. Plus, the hint of green imparts a natural warmth I really like.

What I don't like is the name. It's not any darker than the standard grey by any significant amount. I know. I checked with a light meter and luminometer. Plus, it's not grey. It's a green.

Wish they released it in more frames.

yeah it weird i only just discovered the weirdness of the fluro MDs last night, 3 of them have the standard grey lens and the navy ones have a slight bronze/yellow tinge to them and are darker (dark grey) so odd, dunno why all those Mds dont have the dark grey as its a way way better lens than normal grey.

So Dark Grey isn't 10% transmission as they claim? It's still a nicer Grey to look through and I would swear it is as I find the blue tinted Grey to be too light for me.

Dark Bronze is def darker than Bronze.

Marcel, I am sure your girlfriend choose those 3 frames that you mentionned based on the frame color and not first for the lens right ?

I can see why people like grey over black ir lets say, but for me its too dull for a lens, I much prefer slate lens to grey ones.

Slate lets in even more light than Grey. I tried to wear my Tribal MDs on a super sunny day a few weeks backa nd couldn't take it.
