How can you say this? Our coach Marcello Lippi is like a "mad scientist", I'm sure he's planning some trick... He also knows very well Zidane, because he trained him several years when they were both in the Juventus (the team of Turin and best team in Italy and in the world for me)

And don't forget that, in case of penalties, our goal is sealed by SpiderMan-Gigi Buffon

(I think if we'll not win, you'll never more see me on this thread...)

Can you believe the US tied with Italy? If it wasn't for that injury the US would've won. Ithink this is a great matchup but even with their knowledge of Zidane, I don't think Italy can keep up with the French.

I'm rooting for Italy but I think France will win... Too bad. And I hate to see all those 'world-class' soccer players exaggerating when they got challenged a lil' bit.. They just love to dive so much! And if ur elbow 'just' touched their ear, their face will be like crushed! (-_-)

Still trying to milk that 1996 Champions' League trophy for all it's worth, I see ;-)

For the record, I don't know anything about soccer but I'm very surprised France hasn't surrendered yet.

Eric I never knew you were so informed on Dakota culture, I'm impressed! But I guess I shouldn't diss the French especially since I live so close to France Jr.

I'm not afraid. Our captain Cannavaro "the soldier" is ready to stop all the incursions of french.
And Gennaro "roar" Gattuso is preparing his teeth to bite

Deutschland! Deutschland!

This game just proves how illegitimate PKs are for deciding elimination games. Portugal and Fairy-Boy Ronaldo hadn't scored (until a few seconds ago) since the round of 16.

Ronaldo's problem is that he does the same stuff every game. People have just adjusted to his play and now they stopped him. He's fast and that's awesome but that's all he tries to do and he doesn't involve other guys.

Italy was quite lucky to have won the WC! France was dominating the game... But I'm happy Italy won! (^-^)

Maybe ZZ is looking at another career after soccer. LOL As a former martial artist myself, I am very proud of the way the headbutt was delivered: accurate and with real venom... not that I am endorsing this behavior on the soccer pitch.

Zidane, like "Kung Fu" Cantona some years back, is after all a "multi-talented" individual and would like his other "gifts" to be acknowledged on TV. The best part is that he still manage to win the golden ball award.

Italy deserved to win , especially after what Zidane pulled off, but it wasn't a entertaining final ( except for the penalties )
