Then, on that rare occasion, you get a rep that's sharp & in tune with what's going on...that's an employee that's also an O-Review member!

I'm not sure how to put this, but here goes: Ruby variations might not be that important to lots of people so any of the distinctions you may make are moot on CS' end.

In other words,
You ask: "Is it a deep red?"
They look, and it's not pink, or neon orange: "Yup, deep red."

If you started asking about gradations of 'deep redness' I'd be rolling my eyes*. Good thing I'm not in CS.

* unless you asked if it was identical to Fire. Then I could give a decent answer.

But then they'd probably say "No, it's Ruby" or "No, It's got a Blue base"

iMetalG5 - Vaults carry mainly discontinued product, they only get new sunglasses after they have been out around 3 months or so. So it would be incorrect of you to blame a vault employee for not knowing the latest on new releases as, new releases are not what they do.

Everyone else - The new Juliet and Penny x-metal with ruby is currently in production they are not in the where houses yet so no customer service rep. is going to be able to physically look at one and tell you what it dose or dose not look like. As a matter of fact they are not even in the same part of the building as the where house so if they were in stock they still would not be able to lay their hands on one and say what it looks like. When new product comes out they get to see the same photo/rendering you see on oakley.com so when they described something to you it is based off of that photo/rendering. As far as product knowledge goes they only get a little more detail than the descriptions online as well. The reason a lot of times reps. Don’t say “I don’t know” is because they are tired of people going off on them about not having the answer they want to hear so they give there best guess knowing that if their wrong the chances that you even bothered to remember there name (because most of the time CSR get treated like there not people anyway) is slim.

Probably the only people that know how red the lens on these are at this point are the people standing at the end of the lens production assembly line. Probably the only people that know if they have serial numbers are the designers, the guy hand assembling them out in the desert, and a few very in the know people (and I am talking the kind of people that don't deal with customers on a day to day basis.)

I will ask some questions to a few people that should be in the know and see what I can come up with for you all but I don’t make any promises as to whether my contacts will be able to get the info..

In the mean time stop bashing people for not knowing what you THINK they should know. People can only know the information that is giving to them.

So Uncle Sam says he's not supplying Rubies to Union Jack then. Considering how much it cost for a regular Juliet there, it is a wise decision indeed, (as least temporairly)- The rubies will definitely be priced way out of its league.

Well, I think Oakley sees how much people loved the Rubys. This site has definitely demonstrated that. Who knows, maybe Oakley is doing this b/c of the demand it sees of it on ebay or on this site. Maybe thats why they sell them for so much too.

Yep, those side blinders have always been a fixture on ebay and forever sell more than $100. On a closer look, the guy in the pic looks like our friend Ford but it couldn't be him.

I've just bought this Juliet Ruby re issue here in Brazil!!
The seller said it is a very limited edition to the X Men 3 movie!
It comes without serial number and the lens are from the 3rd generation, but still looks one of the most beautiful Oakley lenses. You have no idea how happy I am to have one of the Rubys!! xD

Ps: Remember!! I am brazilian, sorry for the bad english!!

See you!

If what you described is indeed the reissue version, I think you might have made many people who ordered upset. Again, since you are part of the review group, we would like to brainwash you to accept that there are no such thing as generations, only batches.

Congrats on your purchase, so long as you're happy, that's the most important thing. and a warm welcome to the site.

I wonder if that seller is speaking of the truth... or could it be just a claim so that people will buy the old stocks that he still have in store?

I don't think the new release stock is ready yet. We are still waiting for ours that was placed on order a week ago.

Ok, here are the fotos you asked for :
The seller just can't be laying because I've never seen a single Juliet Ruby here in Brazil either in retail stores or people wearing, and suddenly, from a day to another, all shopping stores had 1. Certainly is the reissued edition.
Weel, it doesn't have serial number. Enjoy the pictures:

In the first foto it's appearing like fire, because of the angule of the light, but in the second you can see th ruby color ;)

That box is not new release! That is the original box back when the first ruby juliets were released. I hope the seller didn't just put a regular X-Metal frame with Ruby lens and sold it with that box!

Diego - is there a serial number on the box?

It can't be!
All the sellers in different shoppings decided to do the same thing in the same week? All the rubys I've seen in the stores come with this box, and it came also with a special card saying: "X men 3 limited edition"
Where Can I find the serial number in the box?

Can you post a picture of the special X3 card? And what is the serial number on the box? It is on the bar code on the bottom of your box.

I have only half of the card, which is on the photo. The other half, which was written x men 3 limited edition I sent back to Oakley brazil to receive a free X metal vault. Its a promotion only for the limited Juliet Rubys. I don't know if it is worldwide or only here in Brazil.
