It was directed by the same guy who did Blade II, so I guess he stayed loyal.

Guillermo Del Toro did seem to like the look of their gear, so hopefully we'll see more Oakley product placement in Hellboy 2.

Rasputin is wearing Whys with extra lens built off the side a la the eye cups added to the Juliet in X-men. I can't remember any other O glasses though, but it is littered with clothing and accesories. The goggles in the begining. A Timebomb on Abe Sapien.

Del Toro must be a fan.

I looked for the Time Bomb the whole movie and there were only a few times when I said 'yeah I guess that's it'. Usually it's obscured.

TimeBombs aren't in production anymore? Any specific reason or has it just run its course? Is that why some 'newer' TimeBombs don't come with Vaults (i.e. both out of production but more watches made than vaults)?

From what I understand, the company that makes the movements for Time Bomb went out of business and rather than seek out another company to do the job, they decided to let the old war horse ride off into the sunset. They just dicontinued D2, D3, all Bullets, Torpedos and some of the original Crush colors too. Some of the watch lines are finally biting the dust...onward and upward.

So is digital in general scrapped? I like 'em and woulda liked to see an Oakley heart rate monitor. Call it Cardiac or Pulse or something like that.

No, the D1 is still being made as far as I know. And if they made a pulse monitor, I'd hope they'd call it the "Heart Attack" or something as equally snide and entertaining as calling a watch "Time Bomb"
