Anyone know what is the real difference between the watches aside from B2 being available with unobtainium bands. From what I see the ones with a metal band looks exactly the same except B1 is Swiss Movement and B2 is Swiss Made. They both have 74 month battery life

From what I've heard the metal band has been restyled. I haven't seen it yet and it isn't shown on oakley.com. So I'm not sure how the band on Blade II differs from Blade I.

Hopefully if the band is different we'll see some pics soon.

that's what i thought too, but judging from the colour renderings the metal bands look the same.

i also agree with Eric that the original Blade looks slightly better because of the smaller lettering. however, i'm interested in seeing how the Unobtanium strap version will look like in real life.

You have hit it on the nose as far as what I have been told B1 Swiss movement, B2 all Swiss. B2 metal band is suposed to be a little different but hardly noticible.

Eric,
That sound like a comment coming from Tick.

Seems like it would have been easier to pull a Racing Jacket on the Blade, slightly modify it but keep the name the same

Was trying to do a research on the difference of the Blade and Blade II and I found this thread. Not much info here.

So was wondering if anyone found the difference?

Anyone know where to get a replacement Blade II unobtanium band?
According to Oakley South Pacific the product has been discontinued and no spares are available anymore.
Thats crazy as I only purchased the watch 3 years ago
The band has decided to break and now its useless if i cant get it fixed.

please tell me this is not the case !

Sorry to hear that, Anthony. This is why I prefer to steer away from unobtainium bands if possible.

Hopefully you'll be able to find a replacement band.

Some good news.
OSP searched high and low for a replacement band on the BLADE 2 and came up trumps.
They have restord my faith in looking after customers.

Terror thanks for the advice . I decided to order all spare replacement unobtainum bands while I can get them for the watches I have so I can avoid this situation in the future.

I tried to order a spare TBII replacement unobtainium band - for precisely the same reason you ordered extra bands, Anthony... but they refused. Not good customer service!

Are the links interchangeable? I've got a Blade 1 and I need some extra links for it.

BTW...Brushed stainless if anyone has any kicking around they want to sell.
