The more I look at Time Tank photos, the more I think that the Time Bomb is a better looking watch.

OK - before everyone starts hammering me, I acknowledge that this is purely a matter of taste.

Its not that I don't like the TT just that I prefer the TBs (given that they're roughly the same retail price) - you can't say a TT has the understated elegance of a the TB, but maybe that was the whole idea behind the TT.

What do we all think????

Both are nice watches, but I prefer the Tank's designs over the TB. The Tank is just way out there and different than what's come out of Oakley previously. It's also very new, so I may just be answering based on the Tank's novelty. Ask in a year and the answer may be different.

I just would like to have a sapphire crystal. My Time Bomb has been taking a beating. And at the price, it's hard to justify wearing it if it's going to be beat up. I don't know if I'll be able to pick one of these up for retail, so my TB will have to do. The ebay prices are a little easier too.

Is it possible to get oakley to replace the Hardex of the timebomb and replace with a saphhire crystal?

Not at this time, and it's highly unlikely it will ever be since they're being phased out.

Yeah i would have to agree with Dann...

If only the TB came with saphire glass....I would be able to justify it more to myself to finally grab 1....the prices on ebay now are very tempting but unfortunately the colours on sale do not appeal to me....Hopefully more Red TB or prices on the stealth 1s would drop slightly further...

And i would love to have the Eddie Jordan TB but that is so far out of my reach and budget i dun even know where to begin!! The TT is also very very nice and very tempting from the pictures....but with its price tag i would need months of hard saving to be able to afford them....hopefully there would be some gd deals on ebay soon...

Oh yeah on the comparisons...i guess its still too early too tell since most of us still have yet to see the actual TT in person...the TB definitely looks much better in person than in pictures IMHO....

Yeah - if only TBs came with sapphire glass....

But I remember reading on another thread a while back about how sapphire glass had a refactive index that was unsuitable for a TB....

The funny thing is if TB used cheaper acrylic glass you could polish out any scratches - I'm pretty sure there's no easy way to remove sratches from Hardex... Maybe we can start a thread about who's got the nastiest scratches on their TB...

And just thinking about this whole thing some more, the first time I saw the rendered picture of a TB on o-review, I just knew I was going to get one... can't say the same about the TT.

i'll go with the time tank on this one...beautiful design...the downside is it's quartz...i hope the TT band does'nt scratch easy like the TB

I remember reading somewhere that the timebomb didn't use sapphire crystal due to the shape of it's face.
Aside from that, I'd choose the Tank, without a doubt!

i'd actually go for the timebomb where design is concerned, it's more organic looking and exo skeletal, but then i guess oakley are moving away from that like with the eyeware, and now it's hip to be square...

the tank is very nice though, and i will be getting one!

Darren’s correct, buy it because of what you think not because of what other people think.
