I received my 1st O-matter glasses today, a pair of black polarized Gascans. They look nice, but I feel like I am wearing blinders. There is no peripheral vision at all. I am used to my beloved M-frames or Juliets. Has anyone else had this problem, or is this something I just need to get used to? What glasses do have the worst peripheral vision?

Worst perif vision??? Without running up and trying some stuff on, the top ones that come to mind are the EJ2 and Moon.

I think the GC provides awefully good range of vision, IMO.

I have RX lenses on my GC, and they give not perfect perif. vision like my RX minutes, but it's enough...

Mars always was tricky when driving. I'd turn to see if a car was coming, and wouldnt be able to see anything.

I always found Plates and EJ 2.0 to be the worst in this department, I really don't have any problem with the Gascans.

FatCats are bad too. I find myself lifting my head and trying to peak under the stem when I look back while driving.

Yeah the Plates periph was aweful but the worst ever had to be the 0.3. I tried driving with those on & it was scary

LOL, hey I love the EJ 2.0's, they are among my favorites. BUT I drove with them on a couple times and almost killed people. Well that and my wife called them my alien glasses, but that's another story...

I see what you mean, Scott. You should keep in mind that you're not used to the 'huge' rims around your glasses. Especially smaller frames like Gascan. Your eyes have been kinda spoiled by the M Frame lens and the larger lenssize of Juliet.
Today I wore my Rx Gascan the whole day, including lots of driving and I have no problems with the peripheral vision. But I'm used to smaller frames.
You'll see you'll get used to the Gascan, eventually. Just learn to move your head a bit more. And if you don't get used to it, there's always Ebay...

EJ 2.0 is not great for peripheral vision. It's not horrible, but I don't wear them driving if I plan to change lanes : )

If you've been wearing M Frames (or the new Zeros) then I can see how Gascan feels restricted. I have friends who have only worn Jackets and are in amazement when they try on M Frames. It's like there's nothing there.

I have both Plate and EJ 2.0 and its true, but Medusa would be the worst I would guess.

I hear that the Scar also was not that great.

Yeah, Plates are just right up there with EJ2 and Moon/Mars. I'd agree with the Medusa comments, but I just have never tried driving with the Medusa on. In fact, I haven't really done much of anything with my Medusa on.

It does all seem about the driving ... and the likelihood of sideswiping another vehicle when it comes to poor peripheral vision.

That could be a good thing while driving. I find when I wear my juliets or romeos during driving if the sun is behind me or off to the side I get bad reflection of my own eye off the inside of the lens. It is really annoying. At least now you dont have to worry now about your own eye reflection.
