Thought I would share my latest Spider-man on a rooftop figurine, as the detailing on this one is awesome;

The figurine was distributed by a British company called Eaglemoss, and they do a pretty large range of collectables including The classic marvel figurines.

If you havent checked it out Oak heres the link;

There all solid cast lead by the way, and hand painted too.

Lovin these Phil, although we in the UK never had the G.I. Joe figures, instead we had a doll called "Action Man" which was more or less the same thing.

I still have my Action Man in my loft somewhere, along with a Scorpion Tank and a few other things.

So will you try and display those or are they purely collection only?

I'm not sure what I want to do with them yet. There are reportedly going to be 25 reissues for the 25th Anny. Those are the first 10. Everything after this is carded individually on a retro blister card with original art work. Those were a bit much to want to buy another set, but damn, I want to open them. I prob will.

Up next...

That's the new one. I think they eliminated the bands in these versions.

2nd version had Timber. Mid 80s. I had the first (Commando) version from '83 and my mom bought my brother the 2nd (Ninja) version because he threw a fit at the toy store when I wanted the only one they had.

Man those GI Joe's take me back! I wonder how many of those I broke that are worth a fortune now!

I'm a blade man myself. I collect knives and other sharp things. Here are my folders:

Benchmade Mini-Griptilian 440C Steel blade(totally lame name, but great knife!)

Special Limited Edition Benchamade Ares w/ Carbon Fiber scale handle, D2 Steel blade my "hard-core" carry.

Special Limited Edition butterfly with titanium/purple anodized handle, D2 spear tip Steel Blade serial 130 of 250. I've cut myself with this one more than I can remember!

Limited Ed. Spyderco Delica with Carbon Fiber Handle, VG10 steel blade Serial # 218 of ???. Nice for every day carry, very classy knife.

Limited Ed. Benchmade Snody designed (can't remember the name of the knife) rayskin/cord wrapped handle w/ skull and cross bones inlay, N690 steel blade. Speaks for itself.

My personal favorite Folder (because it's the only one in existance) spyderco Delica with spyderedge. Custom handle by Santa fe Stoneworks. Handle is Malachite inlayed with yellow Mussel shell and obligatory Spyderco Spider! Pictures just do not do this knife justice.

OK if you're still with me here is my sweet kitchen set. All top of the line Shun knives made exlusively in Seki City Japan. Nothing beats Japanese steel.

check out the japanese folded steel pattern

On top of all this I am a martial artist. I am a black belt in Kendo and love Weapons arts.

Here are my Sai

Here are my "wall-hanger" swords. I use them for basic practice for kata, but mostly they just sit there and look pretty.

Here are the last of my collection. The one on top (no not the TV) is my most prized possession even more than my entire Oakley collection put together!

The bottom sword I won by getting first place in a black belt regional tournament, it's just a cheapo, but it brings great pride to me because of, what I consider, a great accomplishment.

The top sword is a custom built, hand folded and forged sword made to my specifications. It is fantastic! Here are some other pics.

Any way, that is my "other" hobby. I truely enjoy it as much as Oakley sunglasses and Kendo is my life! I also am an Audiophile junkie, but that's a topic for another day! I hope you enjoyed my collection.

You should watch SteepAndCheap.com more. If not for Oakleys, for all the CRKT knives they sell cheap.

Hmm steapandcheap does CRKT huh? I might have to watch for that. Thanks for the advice.

MyOaks, thanks for the compliment I love the TV as well, it's perfect for my bedroom. I want to get a 46"+ for my living room, but I'll just add that to my iPhone, Ferrari, PS3, and all Oakley's in existence wish list. :)

And don't worry I would never use my sword out of anger. It's way more than just a weapon to me.

Dragging up an old thread for fun:

My Mom had these all stored fore me back home in my old room. Picked them up to display not to long ago. My wife does not get it (but I don't expect her too, most of these toys are older than her LOL)
