since this site relies on pictures we take of our Oakleys, we might as well have the best cam but I need something small and compact for the pocket. What do you guys suggest?

currently looking at the Sony T series, Fujifilm Z1, Canon SD line and the Casio Exelim

I have not been impressed with my Sony T1, I've seen way less expensive digitals take way better quality shots in a wider variety of conditions/situations. I am staying away from the compact digitals as they perform weakly in anything but optimum lighting situations. My buddy has an elixim that runs circles around my Sony.

I use the Sony DSC-W5.....nice camera...big display. Not to small I don´t like the small cameras.

I'd have to say Cal, if you haven't looked at a Canon you haven't looked. To me, they stand out for the ease of use, reliability and quality of image!
Their POWERSHOT S2IS currently stands out most to me, not being an SLR but not entirely a compact, giving the user more flexability.

basically I am lookin for something really small and powerful. Something that could have given you guys a nicer, more clear picture of the "SPIKE" ...you know what I am saying?

I vote on Canon. I'm using a Powershot 400 Elf and the newer SD versions are a hell of a lot slimmer with a larger screen. You can get them up to 5 (maybe 6) megapixels now as well.

Iam looking for a casio exilim ex-s500. 5.0 mp, big diplay and costs at ebay circa 220Euro. In shops 30 Euro more. It is very small (90mmx59mmx16mm) and you can take pix after 1 sec. when you switched on.
but also good is the new olympus µ DIGITAL 600 (97mmx55mmx26,5mm), there you have 24 or 23 different options to take a picture, with and 6 mp. and also available in RUBY red

Another vote for Canon, doesn't matter what, they're all pretty good. Just find one in your price range and features.

I use the Fuji FinePix Z1. Its 5 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, and a 2.5in LCD screen. Those were the only things I was concerned with. I love the big LCD screen. I have used this for all my pics here on The O Review. Plus its tiny. It isn't a pain taking it out to a club or diner with friends.
