Cool pair, and I love the presentation. But like always, I'm not a high roller, so I have to sit these $500+ special editions out. - Dann

Wish I had your discipline Dann. I seem to slack on the regular reasonably priced releases but jump on or try to get a semi-decent amount of pricier ones.

FOMO is real. LOL

Congrats, that is a great pair. What's the story with the etching, was this a limited thing?

Ok, so what are your thoughts?
As many of you probably are, I’m signed up for Oakley’s MVP program and receive their emails with exclusive MVP eyewear from time to time. While some color ways are pretty cool, I tend to skip them or miss out on them due to procrastination. I recently received an MVP email stating that Oakley was coming out with their first ever non eyewear MVP item in an exclusive and limited backpack. I’ve attached some pictures from the email and some from my actual bag. Was I really lucky enough to get bag # 1/1000?

They are all 01/1000... Also the 2023 date seems a bit odd since its 2024. With literally nothing on this thing stating MVP, this will be the last non-eyewear piece I buy from the collection.

Not to be a downer. Which I apologize for because I think I've been kinda negative or angstful recently which is I feel in contrast to my previous "say nothing bad about 'my brands.'" But this almost seems like a let's get some samples made - 1,000 might be a lot for samples - or someone ordered these by mistake and then it was "what can we do with them?" kinda thing. Because as Micah said there's nothing "MVP" about it. The only unique thing is the exclusive camo pattern and the label stating "LIMITED EDITION 01/1000." Which is disappointing that all of them are 01. Don't get me wrong it's a cool pack and sometimes I think when things actually say MVP on them it seems cheesy but the 2023 and 01 have me thinking the thought put into this was lackluster and an after thought.

Sorry, you can block me now. Ha Ha!

Yep! It is 1 kind of colored bag compared to the other 999 other bags Oakley has out there. This must be how getting a “Participation Trophy” feels;)

I agree technically it is 1 out of 1000 and they would have been able to get away with it had the patch not said “Limited Edition Number”

I wanted to provide an update to my above post regarding the MVP backpack. After several posts, it was evident that this bag was not intended to be an individual serialized bag, that’s to say an individual number out of 1000 but just a 1/1000. I feel that the marketing was deceiving and thus opted to return the bag for a refund. To add insult to injury, I received an email from Oakley asking if I would recommend the purchase and I went through and explained what happened and why the negative feedback only to have the site “crash” leaving me unsure if the review went through. I asked to be contacted for a follow up so I guess we”ll see.

Lol no worries. I just felt deceived by their marketing which I didn’t understand why they would do. In my opinion, it just cheapens the brand. Also in this day and age of technology, how did they imagine it not getting out.

Sorry as well Luis. It does seem a bit deceiving even if it was innocent. I agree it cheapens the brand.

I think customer service and even attention to detail seems to have fallen off a lot with companies these days. Lack of quality control and being "good enough" or just doing what's necessary seems to plague the world. I've had issues with my Subs from the last release. The nosebridge had marks on it more than what may have been deemed normal from the "production process." Customer Service was great though and they sent a new one out but the second still had nosebridge marks - a lot less but more than there should be in my opinion. So this time I just kept them and didn't say anything. Maybe I should've said something to Oakley about the second pair - but I have a feeling it was a common issue this time around for the Prizm Snow Torch color-way. They're still available on oakley.com so maybe I will try to return these too.

I get this. The only time I left something that wasn't a 100% glowing review it was not posted.

When I got my MUZM eye jacket set, the exterior and interior product boxes were damaged. The shipping box was perfect so I would imagine they were like this prior to shipping.

I got an email asking for a review and left a very positive review that stated how much I appreciated the re-release and how the nice the presentation was. At the end I did state that the product came with slight damage, nothing that amounted to more than one sentence. After I sent the comment I received a response that stated my review would not be posted because after review it did not meet their guidelines..

After that I've never left another review. I do score them low every time I get the "rate us" email though because they send me a discount code every time I do....
