I think they'll drop as soon a Thump 2 hits. The only question in my head though, is "When they're gone, are they gone?" I'm looking at them now myself at my SGH and I figure if one gets sold it's probably not coming back in stock.

That's what made me buy one the other day. So far the only color I've really liked has been Rootbeer/Bronze, so I figured I should get one before they disappear forever. I'm sure they'll keep showing up on eBay for awhile, but for some reason I'm hesitant to buy Thump on eBay.

128 are already gone, as well as the night camo and snow camo, other than SGH (what was left in the O stock rooms and what was taken from some CC that were abusing prices were sold to SGH, at lest that is what I am told)...... Like most electronics I would expect that the old will give way to the new. SGH and CC got permission to drop the price early, when thump 2.0 comes out the current SGH price will be the price everywhere. I am sure most places will be "price matching" SGH and CC until then. If you like the gas can save your money for thump 2.0 I think you will be surprised by the pricing for it.

O stores will match the SGH/CC prices.
Walk in ,and ask for it.

Good to know. I would have preferred to buy from an O-Store rather than give CC more of my money, but the nearest one is 5 hours away.

The #1 reason not to buy Thumps from Ebay would be the lack of warranty. I'm thinkin you gotta have warranty when it comes to electronics. BTW has anyone seen any ads anywhere advertising the reduced price Thumps becasue my OPD will price match as long as I can produce proof.

Cool, Thanks, cuz I doubt my SGH here will even have Thumps because there's no CC here if what was said earlier is true

About 30 songs acording to the info on the database of the Thump:

128/256 megabytes of solid-state NAND flash memory for storing up to 60 songs

The 60 songs info is for the 256 mb model.

You can get 80-odd songs on the 128 quite easily, just by reducing the bitrate. The sound quality hardly suffers.

Thump 2 will be $295 for 512 and $395 for 1 gig.
