So I am going through my picture collection and I find a picture of the solid gold time bomb and I decide to rotate a picture to read the back of the watch. Then I notice that it appears to say “Curious George” at the bottom of the watchcase next to the first link. That on the back of a $25000 watch.

I have also seen on the “Legal - Terms of Use” page, last line of the third paragraph.

“You should be aware that Oakley's tenacious lawyers will aggressively enforce all these intellectual property rights in the content.”

So what other Oakley humor have you run across

Couldn't that be a custom engraving? Just a thought, cause I'm not entirely sure where the pic came from.

Some other Oakley humor I've seen is their Canadian and UK pricing.

in the past , oakley put frases like those on all the boxes, especially in the ZERO / TRENCHCOAT / EYEJACKET period. the were slamming you with lawyers , and patent-protection.

Probably a custom engraving. The Las Vegas rep has a few watches that he received as awards from Oakley with custom engravings on the back. "Viva Las Vegas" on the back of a Polished/Black GMT, etc.

Yeah, the price of humor isn't cheap when you get to this stage of O madness.

The humor is in the way Oakley has somehow caused me to desparately search for ways to spend $120 on less than an ounce of plastic! No wonder people think we're insane!

NBS Rubber is a generic thing, loads of companies use it, I'm not sure what it stands for though...

No, HSF Rubber on the blade stood for Holy S*** Factor.

Though NBS Rubber stood for No Bull S***, given it was in the industrial catagory. Oh well.

I suppose if they listed the Montefrios as having WTF styling that would be a little too obvious

Hehe, these were on my Romeo's box:

'Oakley technology and trademarks are ferociously protected by our really tenacious lawyers.'

'If you purchase an Oakley product at a swap meet, flea market or warehouse club, it is not authorized, and you have no warranty protection. If you want the real thing, with Oakley's extravagant warranty, go to an authorized Oakley retailer. It's that simple.'

I guess you have a bit of leeway on a hundreds of dollars pair of sunnies!
