You might be a fanatic if...
you see someone with a pair of glasses on its nose which is not an Oakley and the first thing coming into mind is - they are fake... and then you think - ah, no, these are from another brand.
...when someone at the shooting match...who just shredded his M-Frame nose piece...knows to seek you out because you ALWAYS have a spare in the array in your gun bag!
You Might be an Oakley Fanatic if... while watching the Oregon vs Cal game you can't help but notice the Ducks uniforms are the Jupiter Camo colors!!! SO SIKK
... you get excited about adding a new pair of custom Juliets to your collection only to realize you already have that custom combo while updating your collections page on the O-review.
"You scroll ebay, not to see what's for sale, but to see what you already have is worth today"
I thought I was the only one who did this! Thank God I'm not alone lol.
...You get sacked from work for long term illness, and after months of just SSP you get your final wage for your 4 weeks notice and unused holiday.
Instead of saving it you buy 2 expensive pairs you've wanted all year and commission a custom paint job!
I always try to get the pairs I want at an affordable price. No matter how long it takes. And till now it always worked out for me.
The fun of getting the right connections, the hunt etc. All part of it.
Dedication to me means how fanatic you are, like the knowledge that you have about the O etc.
But as Oakley collecting gets bigger and bigger I am afraid we will see prices rising sky-high for the time to come...
Wow, I spent $130 and that wasn't even before the craze. Well certainly before now, but it's a whole new game. I remember when $300 was scalping territory.
Certainly there will always be an upward trend, but it's all cyclical. We had a boom years back which was followed by the bust. I got some of my coolest items during the last bust when there was a massive sell off by those looking to move on. Sad to say, but I look forward to the next bust cycle (hopefully in 4 years).
