Hi guys, I saw the following post on a "swiss eBay" site. It hooked me. I translated it correctly from the german by google translator.

What do you guys think??. IMO it's a Prizm black when original but I have my doubts... i asked for more pictures anyway.

I bought a seemingly authentic Oakley Jawbreaker here on Tutti. The lens supplied was not suitable for ski touring. So I bought a suitable replacement lens. When comparing the guaranteed genuine Oakley lens with the one supplied, two things stand out. The real one is twice as thick and weighs about 11g, the delivered 7.7g and the latter is easy to bend. The cut of the real one is ingeniously perfect, whereas the one supplied is not. Both fit well in the glasses frame. I sell the delivered one here.

The delivered one has two very small scratches that I only saw when I was putting up this ad, and I've already cycled a few hundred kilometres with the delivered lens. The scratches don't bother.

If you want an extra-light replacement lens for an Oakley Jawbreaker for the 'Gümele' in bright conditions, this lens should be your target. They are too dark for me. The seller at the time said that the glasses were a gift from professional cyclist Michi Schär. If that's true, the lens could be a first prototype of the Prizm Road black, polarized, Cat. 3, with 8% light transmission.

Shipping would be added. The lens comes with the lens bag in the picture.

The whole story might be true, or this might just be a fake lens :/
Hard to tell.

There's something off about that lens. The text looks off center and compared to a known authentic lenses looks like its a different font size. There's a weird mis-cut in the nose bridge region as well.

Honestly I would stay away from it

I will check later with my own lens as the "prizm" logo is too low for my knowledge... but I will be away from that lens for sure.

"Vertically polarized to block horizontal light"

All my Oakley polarized lenses go dark when turned to their side, orientating the light to the lens horizontal axis. The pics you posted have the Jawbreaker lens doing the opposite. It looks like it is polarized all right, but the filter was applied backwards. Unless I am missing something here, this looks like the smoking gun.

It really depends on how the polarized filters are built in the monitors.
I have two monitors in front of me right now.
One is 90° angle polarization, the other one is 45° and I guess I could find another one with 0° (or 180).
I wouldn't trust this quick test to define whether a lens is fake or not :)
