A buddy of mine just launched a Kickstarter. Great guy and he does awesome stuff. Right now he is offering a display case for 1:6 scale collectibles - Iron Man is featured - but can be used for other figures as well. He designed them himself and makes each one using 3D printing. Check it out...

That's pretty cool. I'd be surprised if it doesn't hit $15k to get the bonus.

As a maker I can appreciate the time he spent learning how to and designing that to get it just how he wants. I did the same thing to get 4 tier stands for my Oakleys lol

Yeah, I can only image the time it takes to perfect something. The hours it takes to design, then print, then tweak, etc.

I really thought this would be funded by now. Unfortunately it's only 50% of the way there.

He's probably going to still make these even if the Kickstarter doesn't get funded. Which it's unfortunately not looking good at the moment. Just bad timing now with Corona I suppose as well. So if anyone would be interested at a later time he'll still be making them.

Fingers crossed that he can make this work. I'm surprised it hasn't met its goal. I know there's a demand amongst collectors. It's just hard getting it connected to them.

Yeah he posted it, etc in a lot of the collector forums and still only has 10 backers. I guess stuff can get lost in the plethora of daily posts though on some forums.
