I agree with you, I think the icon is concave. If not, I'm not a fan of them.

JUST NO. I can't wear OG Frogs, but that is just some watered down ish, right there.

If I had to guess, they want to move forward with the conversion of everything to the Icon rather than Square/Classic, but the originals just sell too well (Frog/Holbrook). So they're releasing really close models in hopes that those will carry the prior sales figures.

Exactly what I would say, a long road to making customers forget those models (anyone remember the Stringer?).

Have had my doubts in the past and have ended up loving the release, so knowing my luck Trillbe and Trillbe X will fit great!

It's the usual cycle of things. The Zero L was HATED, but I jokingly predicted that it would be the next 0.3 in ten years. Hasn't really gotten to that point, but when people pick one up now, it's unironic and usually met with a congrats.

There was rage against the Madman/Badman, but it was the same reaction when the Romeo 2 came out. Time evens out everything, and if it truly isn't a good performer, it will fade away without much notice.

I wouldn't feel too bad about that. I have personally eaten my words so many times just over the past 2 - 3 years that now find it easier to keep my mind open and leave all options on the table.

Besides ... the worst case scenario is these just make the rest of your collection look even better by comparison! XD

URANIUM!!! ...that might be the only thing that pulls me in on these and the Trillbe... and I still think I won't be able to pull them off.

I think I maybe putting the Uranium Tribble on my list. The Clear/Torch Tribble caught my attention from the get go.
