Oakley Official Collector Events - Texas and Hollywood

Oakley is hosting collectors, fans, and a few surprise guests to celebrate and trade Oakley's most iconic products. Not to mention, discover products you can't see or purchase anywhere else. You are not required to display your collection. Although, if you think your collection has what it takes, sixteen attendees (per event) will have the opportunity to showcase their finest pieces for a "Best Collection" and "Best in Show" award.

Dates and Locations
December 4, 2014 - Hollywood, CA
December 8, 2014 - Houston, TX
December 10, 2014 - Frisco, TX

If you are interested in attending, please email *removed* to be sent a private invitation. You may only attend (1) of the collector events. +1's are accepted. Space is limited and RSVPs will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis.

I believe with the Hollywood one, that was merged. The TX ones I think have it the day after. I know for this, they gave friends and family rates of 30% off so the new items can be scalped more easily.

I am hoping there will be shopping on the first day of the Texas event because I only received an email for the first day in Frisco and I probably can only make it there on the 10th. Hopefully I can end up bringing home some good stuff.

From what I understand, the shopping days will be similar to friends and family events, but there may still be opportunities on the main day.

Driving 2 hours to Frisco 2 days in a row would be too tough for me to do during finals week.

Was awesome event...Too Bad I Showed up over an hour late. Us orange county folks are not accustomed to the severity of LA traffic. Also Killed My Phone/camera on the way But I got a couple of Pics:

Killer. Love seeing all the collections laid out.

On another note, I'm hearing rumors that attendance is low on the Houston meetup. Wonder if there's truth to that, or just the rumor mill.

A few more pics from the event, I had a great time. Nice to finally meet some people
who share the same love of the brand. I made the "First Five" and flew home early with my sketch
riding shotgun in the empty seat next to me....

It was an awesome event. They did everything well. I hope the TX crowd gets the same treatment with the designers in the crowd and an unclose look at the Madman!

Happy to hear you guys had a good time. One of our photographers from the event has a flickr gallery set up if you'd like to check it out. https://www.flickr.com/photos/40001381

As far as attendance goes for Houston, I'm good on overall attendance. I've just got a few more spots I need to fill for the actual displays. If you're interested, send me an email at kkarzen@oakley.com

Great pics. We should start a write-in campaign to get the small "Flying Angel Skull" statue to be the next GWP.

Yup, I was there. Didnt display but it was a great time.
And here are some pics:
So I think a great time was had by all.

I can say that I had a blast, and yes I should get a case for my phone with almost dropping it twice last night, both time catching it before it hit the floor.

I was lucky enough to be one of the 1st 5 through the door to get the special print which is pretty cool, but to be honest some of the people displaying got the short end of that because they were setting up not waiting in line.

Now on to the pics:

This is theprint I talked about above

These are the 2015 release B1B Frogs and Holbrook matte blue with sapphire lenses, also some special micro bags they gave out at the end of the event.

And on to the tables

Hopefully I'll be able to get in there for one still since I'm displaying. Thanks for the pics.

Oh and another little note that Paul pointed out to me. Did anyone notice that Del's winning collection didnt have one X-Metal frame in it?
