Now have to update the serial list because the other warranty serial
W 018930B, would be the third geração.Ok.
The serial W warranty ****** A, WOULD BE THE SECOND GENERATION, THIS CORRECT? OR NOT?

The following photo.
Thanks.

Have you (or anyone else) seen a W###### serial without an 'A' or 'B'. On the normal plasma serials, the 'A' meant second generation since the first didn't have anything. Then 'B' was third. However on the Warranty serials, they may have known that there were problems with the frame, and started them with 'A'. These would be for frames specifically sent back for repair, rather than the normal retail releases with the fixed frame coatings.

Thank MISTER DAN,
I just find it odd that, it seems all models x metal warranty, serial w are in the plasma frame.
Could it be that a lot of Juliets plasma had presented some kind of defect or lack of quality, or that Oakley had only plasma frames p / replace as collateral in case of return.
Plasma frames would be left over after the end of production juliet x metal.
It seems that we are left with the doubt for a long time ..
And as I put in my collection Juliets the warranty:
This would: JULIET PLASMA WARRANTY.

Did any Penny model come without a serial number?

Yes, there are some Penny that was sold without serial. The Ruby Penny, for instance, was re-released in 2006 for a limited time in conjunction with the X3 movie and come without a serial on the frame. Some warranty frames did not have serials, either.

Any idea what's going on with these X-metal Ruby Juliets?

J###### serial, but has what looks like an official Oakley sticker, with SKU 04-116 which is for the Xmetal/Ruby colourway - but consensus is those came with X###### serials.

Unless it's just a X-metal/Black Iridium frame and someone put in Ruby lenses, and then printed a very authentic looking product sticker...? Fair bit of effort to scam someone. Or Oakley used leftover Xmetal/BI frames and put in Ruby lenses themselves?

Okay, according to this post at the Oakley Forum, Oakley did start engraving J serials on the next generation of X-metal/Ruby Juliets after the X series.

Yes, they switched over to leftover J serials for the Ruby edition after a while.

Yeah, towards the end of the serial number etchings in the latter part of 2004, the thinking amongst collectors is that Oakley just pulled some "X-metal/Black Iridium" frames and threw in some Ruby lenses and sold it as-is rather than etch any additional "X" serial frames. Why Oakley just didn't use non-etched frames rather than pull "J" serial frames is anyone's guess, but it could be due to the Ruby Juliet being a candidate for cancellation may be one of them.
