If they were 'cobbled' together, it would have been by either Oakley or Luxottica (or maybe Rayban as it is 'their' style label) and it would have been for sale in the Maranello Ferrari store.

My latest research has led me to believe there may have been four of these complete pairs.

I have still to see another pair of these with correct frame markings such as sku, size and ce. All other pairs either have no markings, NPI or no 'CE' mark which is essential for selling in the EU.

Oakley are definitely using this type of label - here is a spare nose piece for a Milestone.

I recently purchased a sf16-c Carbon Prime that came with Ferrari mf bag, storage case and outer box. As we all know, the sf16-c didn't reach the general release stage so I was working on the assumption that the extras came from another pair from the Ferrari range.
However, having done some digging around I have found that one of the two labels on the box is a Lux one that is found on RayBans.
To me, this gives full credibility that this was a complete set created by Lux for sale in the Maranello Ferrari store.

It has been suggested the label has been faked to give it this appearance but the label with the red boarder is too complex to replicate;
Some of the text and bar code is inverted and the label has perforations which would be impossible to copy - even the bar codes and qr code scan correctly.

Ray Ban box label for comparison.

....would have been a lot easier to fabricate an Oakley label, though...

Carbon Prime sf16-c.
Trying to verify Ferrari Official Product code but seller says they were purchased in the Ferrari Boutique in Maranello as a full retail set.
Box barcodes all indicate the correct sku for the pair....

I also bought a copper as part of the same purchase.

I have a small question, I purchased a pro M frame (mate black) and it comes with heater lenses. I cannot say exactly the type.

The SKU is the 07-10-00, I cannot find it.

pretty sure that is the date of manufacture.

It was me that raised the question on oakleyforum and I would like to thank GRFMotorsports for his continued help.

This is the pair in question....

It will be interesting to see if they have an etched serial as the Frogskins 35th Anniversary have.

Have a look at eBay item 174081098980.
Not only does it have the 12 jewell Swiss movement, it also has the correct white numeral on black background datewheel.

It would be an easy task for a watchmaker to switch the datewheels over but this way will save a bit of labour costs.

35th Anniversary Frogskins
Nicely executed with laser-etched serial with hand written matching number on the box.

Gold graphics and hinges make it just about enough to make it a limited edition.

Hello MARK,
Congratulations on the acquisition, very beautiful,.
I have a doubt, which is the complete sku of this limited edition frogskings, could you please inform me.
Thank you, CONGRATULATIONS .. - bomb oakley

Thanks, weren't sure how many there were. - Dann

I'm surprised they haven't sold out yet - probably will now that it's known how many pairs and they are numbered.
Looks like a lazer etched number on the frame...

Tried to correct a faulty description on ebay. This is the wonderful answer I got...
- pastor.elfstrom

Was it advertised as a Jordan pair? The only part of the description I saw that referred to 'Jordan' was in relation to the rubbers..

I haven't posted for a while but I think these are worth a mention - all mint and maybe never even worn. The T serial Juliet hasn't even had the rubbers fitted.

Took advantage of the Size? Redux becoming re-available and ended up with #004/150.

The box had been previously opened so I am guessing that they are selling customer returns?

Late to the party but didn't get scalped, either.
Looking forward to tomorrows post.

Very nice piece you got here !
Are those the original lenses ?
They look like Grey rather than the Tungsten Iridium Polarized - BiGCoB

They are chrome custom cuts. Trying to source a pair of oem Tungsten if possible. I sold a pair a while back because I had lost hope of ever getting a carbon frame - kicking myself now but happy with the chrome look. If any one can help me out, please get in touch.
edit: they do look quite transparent in the picture so here is one to show them head on with a grey pair above. .

Did your job with Oakley commence pre-Lux days or after? It would be great to hear some inside stories.....
