Does anyone know what the difference is between the standard Square Wire 2.0 and the 30mm variant? Does it have something to with the lens size?

Also, are the Titanium Square Wires made out of titanium like the T-wires? Or is it the finish that's considered 'titanium'?

You may wanna think twice if you plan to buy square wire.
I have both normal and titanium pairs, not really use them frequesntly.
But both stem had broke, and Oakley charge very expensive when I send to repair, so plan to thriw them soon...

The 30mm version was an Australian release. Federal law requires glasses to be a height of 30mm or higher. Same reason the Penny wasn't available, so they made a unique version. There's also a big Square Wire which is closer to the original Square Wire. The Titanium color ways came out later in the run, well after the T Wire debuted. The T Wire only had the Ti and Ti Clear like the 1.0, so further variants of Titanium were placed in the main model lineup. Other wires like the A Wire had the same.

Thanks guys.

I have a few pairs of Square Wire 2.0s (Platinum/Gold, Silver/Ice, and Dark/Black). I've been debating getting a titanium version (or the T-Wires).

The Ti versions don't reduce the weight as much as the Ti versions of say the Crosshair. T Wire is nice because of the lens options, but they have similar durability.

Cool thread. I've been wondering about this. Two follow up questions though:
- Measuring lenses w/ a vernier caliper: They are 30mm tall; maybe 29.5mm. I measured Ti Wire 2.0, Square Wire 2.0 non-SH, Square Wire 2.0 SH, and Titanium Square Wire 2.0 SH (btw. SH and non-SH lenses aren't interchangeable). Does that mean the 30mm version are .5mm taller to fulfill Australian law, or are they actually taller than 30mm? I would assume the latter if people actually notice a size difference. Can someone measure?
- How tall are the big square wire lenses then?
- What are the differences on the various revisions of Square Wire 2.0 SH?

Are you measuring the lens or the frame? When you set a 30mm next to another non 30 mm the difference is noticeable.
