Beautiful, congrats! - Oak
Unless you are deeply interested in horology or entrenched in watch collecting, the news of Omega bringing back the storied caliber 321 in the modern age may not mean much. But for those interested, especially the Omega fans, this is very interesting and exciting stuff. Looking forward to what they do with it other than recreating the original NASA/Moon watch:

In-house movements have been the name of the game for the last 20 years if a brand wants to be taken seriously. AP has always been within the top 5 brands to most collectors. The only weakness is most of their chronographs use F. Piguet movements (i.e. using parts from the Swatch Group rather than make their own). They will have a base movement and layer a chronograph module on top of it, thus creating the calibers used in chronograph watches like the Royal Oak Offshore. Beautiful movements, but collectors being collectors and with watch collectors’ nature being snobby, the demand was for something more exclusive.
Fans of the brand have been asking for a pure in-house integrated chronograph movement for years. With the AP caliber 4401, they have answered that call and went over and above - a flyback chronograph movement that features a column-wheel and a vertical clutch:

Not sure if it’s better than Invicta’s watches, but I do like Eco Drive. - Oak
