He had a couple pairs listed on eBay and I was asking about the boxes. We got talking and I asked if he had any pics of the other pairs and this is what he sent me. I believe all of these have been sold off over the last couple years. I was just happy to get the pics. The Mumbo box with the Heater stickers is pretty cool. Since most of the stock is gone I was unable to get the date codes off the boxes. Sorry about the confusion.

I know only one collector in south of France who has got a blue iridium strip.

I have kinda given up on that one. I only a really good state grey strip and am happy like that.

Still on the chase for a carbon and black rain frame and I will feel like my Mumbo/M Frame quest is over. Well maybe.

A.

PS : I would love a heater fire iridium, a +red sweep... an M Frame box which I still dont have as amazing as that seems to me... what else! A red nosepiece/earstem kit, a transparent one too... Oh dear, its not over!!!

Nosepiece and ear socks kits pffffouah... I have neon yellow, neon green and neon pink but... I still miss too many. I have never seen a red one selling anywhere. Anyway.

Yeah, to have all the frame color ways that ever were available on the market is also my affordable goal.

Good luck to us!

My list of pieces I need for the M is so long there isnt room here to post it all. At least I have the black rain and fingerprint taken care of so one less guy looking for those.

What is it with France and having a good number of Strip lenses? It's like Germany and Carbon Ichiros and 0.3s. Would love to eventually figure out why some regions have some of the rarer stuff when you wouldn't think they would have any; the allocation strategy would be interesting to find out.

Dang, all the replies to this thread was blowing up my email, haha.

I got two Heater sticker Mumbo boxes, both 12-9. Makes all the sense to me, any Mumbo lens shape other than the V, 67, or Hybrid would have been offered really late in the year and coincidentally right before the box change. V, 67, Hybrid, Heater, those are the only Mumbo shapes to me.

BriP asked me about a Blade Nosepiece that wasn't quite fitting onto a Blade lens. Got me wondering about the various nosepieces that we have from Blade to Modern M Frames.

Blade:
Oakley Nosepieces - Blade

Slit:
Oakley Nosepieces - Slit

Zero:
Oakley Nosepieces - Zero
Oakley Nosepieces - Zero

Odd Sub Zero:
Oakley Nosepieces - Odd Sub Zero

Older Style M Frame Kit:
Oakley Nosepieces - Older M Frame Kit

Newer Style M Frame Kit:
Oakley Nosepieces - Newer M Frame Kit

SI M Frame 2:
Oakley Nosepieces - SI M Frame 20

Almost seems like there was a smaller style just after shrinking from the Blade/Mumbo to the Modern 'pointed' M Frame nose piece, were it was still flatter, but also smaller. The SI M Frame 2 also did away with the pointed form.

Saw that G1 Gold Mine, thought about it but didn't go for it since I got too many other things I'm trying to complete. Does anyone have G1 M Frame boxes? Hahah.

Fake. The text on the lens should be etched, not printed (plus the font is wrong). The rest of the frame is poor quality. The patents are just left over from whomever made the mold to cast these ones.
