Another one here looking for a newer 'small' R2 coin, the zinc alloy one... If anyone has one they would be willing to part with please let me know - thanks =]

I am pretty sure that the Elite coin was given to a limited number of people who bought the Elite Boots. I know that there were a few given out at HQ when purchasing the boots but they went quick, so quick in fact that not only did I not get the boots (didn't have my size) but I didn't get the coin consolation prize either...lol

@feargeargarage, do you mean the SI Coin? I haven't seen an Elite coin...

Same coin. One side says Oakley Elite and the other side says Standard Issue.

I wish I got the coin when I bought my Elite Boot if that's when they were given away. I actually got it years later from a member in Germany. In fact, most of the SI Coins I have seen for sale originated there, so hopefully the onshore coins will pop up for sale one day.

I'm kinda disappointed that Oakley didn't continue with the coins coming with the X-Metal line. I thought that added a nice touch.

Excellent observation and point... I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it.

Most of you have already seen this, but for proper thread purposes, here is the new Infinite Hero coin with presentation packaging:

Oak, is this the coin you get for donating $100?

Yep, that's the one. If you donate, you can have the option of Jack Beckman running a lap with the coin in the car, record all the metrics on a card that's included in the package, and finally autograph the packaging for you.

@Oak do you still consider this an Oakley coin even though "Oakley" has been removed?

Personally I don't consider it an Oakley coin for collecting purposes insofar as I also don't think Fox eyewear are Oakley either, even though they manufacture it. I'm sure those that have collected the Oakley Infinite Hero stuff through the years will disagree.

First off, this is a great thread. Nice guideline for my continuing coin collection. Hope to keep this one going as much as some of the other threads ...

Second, couple of questions for the group anyone can grab if they know it ...

1) just got an IH coin, with a globe back and shield front sans the PH violet color. What Gen would this be? Is there a consensus if there are three Gen IH coins? I've seen two others on this thread, both WITH the PH violet shields, one globe back and one flag back. Assuming there are three, which Gen would mine be? I'm guessing Gen2? If not, which one would be Gen1 if Oak's "new" IH coin counts as Gen3?

2) from the conversation about the V coin, what are the "five" core values represented by the V coin?

As I understand it, there are two "generations" of the IH coin. The first gen, which is the globe, was offered both with and without the colored enamel. The one without the color was sold at O Stores and Vaults, while the one that had the color came with the IH Juliet and was available from IH with a $100 donation. The second gen is the current one with the flag. A big difference, as previously mentioned, is that the first gen coin had an Icon on it, while the second gen doesn't have any Oakley symbols on it, aside from the IH shield itself.

As far as the five core values, I'd like to know the answer to that as well!
